I've been wanting this matchup against WSU forever. And now it's going to happen (pending a buyout). So excited!

I'd like to be so vain as to think my email to Chaves is part of it, but probably not. I wrote him a while back stating my ideas and reasons why we should be playing WSU and other local, middle of the pack to bottom-tier FBS teams OOC, or other FCS teams at the very least to help our playoff chances. This much better scheduling, in addition to turf within the next 2 years... the program is heading places, and I'm fucking excited!

Although I don't get why we're playing UM and MSU so early in the season this year and next... doesn't make much sense at all.

The school should have been scheduling these games a long time ago.. Great travel accommodations for all involved. I'm not sure how winnable these games are for the Eags, but they're in your backyard, it would be some exciting stuff.

I just don't see scheduling both Idaho and Wazzu in the same year with an eleven game schedule- makes it damn tough to be an FCS playoff contender.

You act like scheduling them is a good thing.
Idaho won't schedule UM because they won't come to WaGriz. There's no upside at all to the Griz just playing in Moscow.
Wazzu won't schedule UM because they can't afford the payout. They're essentially a mid-major playing in a major conference.

First, I'm jealous. And second, ouch. An 0-6 start to next season isn't that unreasonable for EWU

No kidding, I'd rather play WSU and Idaho instead of Texas Tech and Boston College. Sure hope one of those 2 drop Weber and then Weber can get an FCS home/away game instead, SUU? UC DAVIS? Cal Poly? NDSU? SDSU? NO DII or NAIA schools.

We will not NOT start 0-6 this year. MSU is almost a guaranteed thing anyway... just look at 2006 when we went 3-8...
