Bobcats are also rumored to be playing Texas A&M - Commerce in their home opener (I assume Sept 11).

Sweet get. Hope you guys take them out, for whatever reason Houston is a team that I can't stand.

The rest of the Bobcats’ schedule is still taking shape, but could include a rematch with Southern Utah and a tough Southland Conference road trip.

Unknown at this time but I would have to think so. Their fast WR/return man Carrier is back though and thats a tough guy to get down.

Just catching up on SLC topics...

The quarterback at UH - Keenum - is coming back to UH. The Cougars also just recently extended the contract of Kevin Sumlin, the head coach. This will help their recruiting efforts since there's some long-term commitment to Sumlin and the football program.

Also, since we're talking about the TXST football schedule - I know you guys do not like playing Southern Utah, but it's turned into a nice OOC rivalry.

The Southland Conference and the Great West games have been good ones. While the results have not always gone in our favor, I am glad that the SLC and GWFC play each other. Because as we all know, it is much cheaper for the GWFC to play us than any other leagues - sans the Big Sky. We've helped key them in business, helped them grow, helped them gain notoriety...particularly when NDSU and SDSU were members...

Ok, we do good against Cal Poly. Edge to us there.

If he had not gone out on such a bad note, he would have had a hard decision to make.

At the end of the day, the University of Houston is going to have a strong football team next year and could play into the BCS buster role, if they handle what they need to during the OOC slate. Of course, they also have Boise State and TCU ahead of them in the 'pecking order'.

yeah they could... i play NCAA football on xbox with my buddies and i had Cincinnati and TCU in a few dynasties we played and those 2 teams became busters. So I have some sort of super power as far as teams coming out of no where to be good. I did that not this past season but the season before when Cincy had yet to win a Big East championship and TCU had maybe 1 championship in the MWC

i will have to do my research and pick a new sleeper... but yeah boise is def a team to recognize with. not so much with their schedule or talent, but what they have done the last few years of winning. as long as you win you can be considered a BCS team. well they put themselves in a position this year that if they run their schedule they could end up in the BIG game
