I've heard from several people that this is indeed fact. Good for Robin. He's already in the system, knows the players, and doesn't have to worry about moving around too much.

Interested to see the rest of the coaching staff he comes up with.

As I said last week It would great to see DD back in Missoula in some fashion. I hope if it is true that he can continue the success at Montana and I have every confidence that he will.

Strong hunch as most new head coaches in the BSC get their noses bloodied a bit when they come in.

Can't say I am too excited about this hire. Sadly I am betting all the other candidates turned them down & laughed at the salary UM offers.

I'm one to think that this was a good hire for Montana. I like his stints at Oregon, Arizona and Washington where he served as recruiting coordinator. He also helped develop seven quarterbacks and receivers who received All-American recognition. You guys willl continue to be a force in FCS. Good luck in 2010!

No kidding. How many men named Robin in the coaching profession can there be?? Whatever...if Pflugrad is as successful as Selvig has been at Montana, Griz Nation will be happy (and the rest of the Big Sky won't be).

He had a chance to come to UM this year but decided to stay in the Pac-10. Why waste a year sitting out and then decide to transfer down after all? Maybe his old man getting the HC job will change his mind, but who knows.

His daughter, on the other hand, MUST transfer to UM. They'll have to add another tier of seats to accommodate the exploding attendance.
