Kroy Biermann is a GOD!!!

Following a freak half-ending numerous-lateral play that saw both kicking specialists for Atlanta sustain injuries, the Falcons found themselves without a kicker to handle the kickoff duties following their first score of the second half.

It was Biermann's effort during the week in practice that caught the coaches' eyes and gave them the trust to hand over the unusual duties to their 6'3", 260 pound pass rusher. During light-hearted competitions on Fridays prior to games, Biermann had shown some ability to successfully kick a football. In the huddle prior to the kickoff, all eyes turned to the Montana native and as is typical of him, he agreed to do what was needed.
I REALLY liked this effort though:
The best he could was on par with his new kicking associates in the NFL. In addition to his 67-yarder, he booted a 54-yarder (returned for eight yards). His final kick showed his rust. While it went 58 yards, it was low and allowed for a Jackson return of 72 yards. There were no worries however, because Biermann, Atlanta's special teams ace, was there to make the touchdown-saving stop.
Atlanta Falcons fans REALLY like Mr. Beer-man.

One of the best kickers in NFL history was an OT and the first guy to kick 63 fiddled with DL. Why NOT a lineman? Put the fear of God into return men when they get past the coverage folk. LOL.

Chad Ochocinco kicked for the Bengals this preseason against the Patriots. Also I have seen plenty of highschool linemen/kickers in Massachusetts, but Mass HS Football is nothing to brag about. Being the best HS team in Mass is like being a midget standing next to a Smart Car......sure, you look the part, but when you look at the big picture, you're still just 3 feet tall.
