As far as this football fan is concerned the 3rd and 24 yards to go - the conversion of that 3rd down was the football game

Congratulations VIllanova
That team made the big plays when they needed to and dominated the second half

THAT play, and the play on the next Griz possession when Sambrano dropped a 16 yard completion on 3rd and 14. Had it. Dropped it on a nice hit...game, set, match: Villanova.

And yet, if the Griz recover the onside kick, they still have a chance to win. Good game between two good teams. Nova just found a way to win, just like they did a week earlier against W&M.

86, I'm telling you there was a sense of "inevitability" in the Griz stands... :ohno: :ohno: We had NO answer for Seizure. :coffee: :coffee:

I had the sense that 'Nova was gonna win too. It was almost a replay of the week before, play rope-a-dope for a half, take the other guys best shot, and then find a way to win in the second half.

There was an eerie silence in the stands when that first FG attempt went awry. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Interesting, Richmond had a 3rd and 19 last year, in the 1st QTR and Ward scrambled for a first down...last year Griz had a great opening drive to miss a FG. this year Griz had a great drive only to miss a FG..

ah..now I know why Hauck takes so many chances going for it on 4th down. Gotta love how many times we mess up kicking our field goals in important games.

If you guys add villanova + richmond (although richmond just blew us over, we lost by way more than a field goal), i'll tack on wofford.

Although, 47 yards is a long ways. I don't blame the kid. I love Dan Carpenter.
