Appy pulled one out of their butts due to London sleepwalking the 2nd half. Otherwise, the CAA walked through the best the other conferences had to offer. :thumb:

How did Delaware do? Oh, I keep forgetting the CAA is your team. Proceed :coffee:

I think Villanova winning the championship is all that matters. Big props to Nova.

CAA fans root for their fellow teams because they see good football teams almost every week...it is called respect. On the other hand, I can understand how mountain folks can't root for their brothers...that's direct competition for your sisters. :coffee:

Good thing they did. Otherwise, JMU and Delaware fans riding the coattails of their conference would be unbearable.

Thank God App has such a good record agains the CAA in the postseason... I can't imagine what CAA posters would be like if UMASS beat us in 2006 and Delaware beat us in 2007. :ohno:

The only reason that I root for CAA teams is because of the CAA haters on this site. I wanted to root for Montana tonight, but I didn't want to read all the idiotic anti CAA crap if Nova lost.

I think BH86 nailed this, the rest of you may go to bed now. Besides maybe 2 posters on this site, the rest of us CAA fans give you props. Walk away while you still have your dignity. I am.

I'm real happy with UD's record against the Socon this year; 0-0 with Furman unwilling to travel to Newark.

Your goal should be to win the NC, but if beating CAA teams makes you happy, more power to you.

I for one wouldn't have given 2 shits about the CAA, I would have been too happy about winning our 3rd NC to care. But alas... :crybaby:

Your goal should be to win the conference, make the playoffs, and win a championship.

But, if living vicariously through your rivals makes you happy, more power to you.

Take away all our championships with AE and we still have as many as Delaware (FCS/I-AA). And, we'll have our 4th before Delaware has their 2nd.

Well maybe they'll beat a CAA team next year, and he'll be happy.

Perspective: you are the same guy who predicted the winner of the Appy/Griz game would win the championship this year.

You never could be consistent. We can't root for our CAA brothers, but you can live vicariously through FCS football and celebrate its accomplishments instead of just Appys?

I never said that.

I said I'd be pulling for Montana... but, I also said before the playoffs that I'd be pulling for whoever knocked App out.

Think of it this way...the CAA is the mafia of the FCS. Organizationally, we gotta look out for each other...it's how we earn our reputation as the BEST conference, and everyone affiliated with us is family and has their role in the system. I mean, no one really respects the mafia, but you don't want to encounter them either. And when you do face the top CAA men, even though you may hide it, you know there's a chance you'll end up on the losing side...whatever that means. Occasionally, we're involved in a police raid and set back like Appy did to us for three years, but we're never killed off...always lurking and reorganizing. That said though, there's always an internal struggle in the family too. Everyone's trying to plot in becoming the next CAA Boss. See, the top of the organization makes the big mula, but the rest are kinda left to survive as long as they are granted some pseudo-respect. But if you win, you'll be noticed no matter what. Delaware is a bit of a different story though. They're like the mafia leader that went to jail; always respected but powerless (until he gets out and becomes a threat to become the boss again). On that note though, we'll have our casualties but young recruits will be found to replace them. Northeastern and Hofstra had to pay for their lives because of their sins, but ODU and GSU will come in and the cycle of tryin' to move from the bottom to the top of the organization will naturally happen.

Montana, well, they're like that police officer we don't like...so we kill 'em and their family. Doesn't matter who does the job. As long as they're dead, the whole mafia is celebrating.
