1st two time winner...awesome way to end his career, only one way that could have been better. It's still great to be a Mountaineer!

Ain't even a question that he is the most deserving. Congrats to him and all of the Appalachian fans that had the distinct pleasure of watching him perform. I got to see him once in person and it was like watching a magician with a football in his hand.

I feel very fortunate that I witnessed 36 of these in person :thumb: Someone on the Mountaineer Message Board mentioned they were present for 46 of his games.

So you think Sac State's kicker, who made a whopping 12 field goals this season, should share the Payton?

Terrific player, good student. Seems to be a hard working young man. I'm glad he won.

Wow, you're now in the distinguished company of TexasTerror who voted AE fifth last year, and said he voted AE second this year... :ohno: Congrats.

Congrats to AE. I only saw him play once, but he was something else. This year at Elon, he was pretty much unstoppable. He's a great player and he deserved the award more than any of the other candidates.

Great player. One that we'll be lucky to see going forward.

His impact on FCS football is arguably the greatest ever. He's a bit of a 'cross-over' artist, if you will.

I hope he suceeds in the NFL.

How could that guy get any less than all of the votes..?
a 70% pass completion QB who runs for 100 yards a game

Seriously... it's ridiculous - the only question is "who's in second place"

Just think what could have been if we had had him and Jayson Foster on the same team. Thanks, Sam Baker.

I'm starting to think he makes these erroneous statements just so that he can sit back and laugh as we all squabble over how much of a shit goose he is. :twocents:

Besides, Diniz didn't even have the best FGM % of kickers with more than 10 attempts... that Honor goes to Striefsky of Delaware.

Congrats to AE, this was a no brainer and he earned it.

You're giving TexasTerror too much credit.

He didn't even have Armanti in his top 5 last year. :ohno:
TexasTerror wrote:Of the top six, I had five (missed on Armanti Edwards). My top vote went to Nathan Brown. The lone top vote for the UCA signal-caller.
