Irrefutable proof that Montana will win

Stats? Meaningless. This is all you need to know to know that Montana is destined to win on Friday.
The Grizzlies have been to the NC 6 times (not counting this year). They own an unspectacular 2-4 record in the championship game

. But, history shows that they WILL win in their 7th appearance. Stick with me here. The two wins came in 1995 and 2001. The four losses were in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008. Do you see a pattern there? Odd numbered year = win, even numbered year = loss. Therefore, 2009 = win.
Still not convinced. Well, there's more. In 1995 the starting QB was Dave Dickenson from Great Falls, MT. In 2001the starting QB was John Edwards from Billings, MT. In all four losses, the starting QB was from someplace that isn't Montana. The starting QB this year? Andrew Selle, from Billings, MT. Starting QB from Montana = win.
You can't argue with information like this, folks. Bet the paycheck and take it to the bank.
EDIT: Plus AZGrizFan SAID they would win. Case closed.

The only irrefutable proof anybody needs is that I SAID they would win.
Case closed.

I hope 'Nova wins just to prove your logic is incorrect even though there is a pattern....that would be hilarious.
Anyway, I think Montana will win just because I think they are a better team and they aren't going to allow what happen to them last year happen again this year. No way Montana losses two consecutive National Championship games.
In the end, GO VILLANOVA!!!!! (even though I think Montana will win)

Actually, you bring up even more proof that I forgot about: Montana has never lost in consecutive championships. They won in '95 and lost in '96 and then lost in '00 and won in '01. Since they lost in '08, well, you know what happens this year

One data point is a dot.
Two data points is a line.
THREE data points is a TREND.
Gentlemen----we have a TREND.
Montana is a LOCK.

I assume you mean they have never lost in consecutive YEARS...because they have lost in consecutive championship appearances....'04 & '08.

You're probably right, but both teams are already there, so lets go ahead with an exhibition game.

Plus, 96, 00, 04, and 08 were presidential election years.
Is this year a presidential election year? No. Montana wins and the rest of FCS starts scheduling D2 teams like crazy.
