Don't worry. We'll break the streak. I heard you guys aren't quite sick of losing to CAA teams inthe NC.

I am of the opinion that your "highly regarded" basketball team getting dumped this past weekend isnt a good sign of things to come.

I am usually a fairly skeptical person when it comes to Griz football under the Hauck regime but Villanova doesnt worry me in the least and I can honestly say I wouldnt want one player you have on that team, VERY unimpressive against Holy Cross, NH and William & Mary.

I don't see how anyone doesn't want a player like Szczur on their team. Alpha, you need to post this in the smack forum.

Perhaps you didn't see Weber get shut out by W&M and SIU only score 3 points on them as well? Nova scored 14.

Considering your defense got lit up this past game as well as your first playoff game, I'd be worried about the Nova offense if I was you. No more games in the friendly confines of WaGriz.

Glad there's balance in this world, for the Hex placed upon Nova by a hen fan, now there is a hex upon Montana by a Monty fan. Should be a good game.

17 point losses to both Spiders and Wildcats last year...
2 point loss to Minutemen in 2007...
1 point loss to Terriers in 2006...
4 point loss to Eagles, 10 point loss to Bobcats, 14 point loss to Mustangs...

Pretty darn good record for the past five years, but not invulnerable.

Good luck with the next set of Wildcats, though...

Weber St and NH got hammered like that because they suck and shouldnt have been in the playoffs to begin with.

W&M was very solid and the mildcats pulled off an upset.

Never been less worried about a football team (Slova) in my life.

Ah, so 9-2 teams don't belong in the playoffs? I guess Mcneese State, SFA, South Dakota, EWU, Elon etc shouldn't have been in either? So SIU belongs, gets trounced by W&M... Villanova beats W&M twice this year.... bet you thought the same thing about JMU in 2004

Nope I knew JMU would kick our ass that year and it had nothing to do with the field conditions, he just have a bad coaching staff and had an even worse game plan.

You're the one griz fan I've heard say that, all I heard during that day from Griz fans was "congratulations on making it this far, we'll take it from here." After the game I heard "Congrats on the victory, but if the turf hadn't of come up, we would have tore you up."

Not living in the past, living in the now hommie. I see you failed to provide and rational to why UNH and Weber didn't belong? Have you even looked at the Wildcats offensive production this post season vrs the teams you perceive as weak? You provide nothing to back up your claims besides conjecture... you should go back to eGriz with your weak claims where your brethren might actually eat it up.

The so called fans that bring up the field argument just show they dont know shit about football, BOTH teams played on that field and it affected them both the same. You beat our ass because Hauck refused to send a safety or LB to stop the run, he kept the base defense and figured you guys would make mistakes or something, either way JMU kicked our ass and was the better team.


I really dont care what UNH and WSU's records are, they always get their ass kicked in the playoffs every year they make it. Both were very average teams and it would have been beneficial to have any of the teams that didnt make it with lesser records get in the playoffs.


There were other teams that were worthy and would have made a better showing.

Perhaps it was just you.

You're right. The game was a great moral victory for the Griz. Closer than last years loss to a CAA team, but not as close as the 1993 loss to the Hens.

Come to the CAA and join us! As the Griz have seen, they would not win the CAA conference championship with any regularity (no one does) and would not have umpteen straight playoff appearences. Heck, the Hens would have made the playoffs in the Big Fluffy.
