No shit folks, getting the broadcast in stunning HD, the game in Missoula was a boon for the future of our great division. It was a classic match, in classic championship conditions. The fans were fugging incredible, and the weather appropriate.

Great effort everyone, I am proud to be an FCS fan.

I agree. Espn did a great job with stadium and fan shots. And the commentators were very respectful of the talent and circumstances.

Well done..!!!
Montana might be easy to hate but they provide the atmosphere (the sizzle) that ESPN is looking for
Announcers and the Broadcast company love a "deep story line"

1) Packed House - loud fans - home field atmosphere
2) History - Powerhouse programs - clash of the titans
3) Weather conditions and toughness
4) Long time coach (Moore) old school toughness - building a winning program
5) Gritty playoff system

These things give the announcers a lot to talk about - lots of folding story lines - and all of it makes for a better story if the house is rockin' and the atmosphere is crazy...

At the Villanova game, no matter what story line one might try to build on, it falls short if nobody is there to support the story... The story only makes sense, it only matters if the atmosphere supports the story line

Also.......Montana vs. Villanova for the NC gives us 2 "name brand" teams that generic viewers have most likely heard of.

The Grizzlies turned to their defense this time, holding Appalachian State to its lowest point total of the season.

Jerry Moore - building a winning program?? Where have you been lately? It's been built.
