Just look at how they got manhandled by the Big Sky. As a matter of fact, SIU and UNH don't belong either.

You mean Montana. They beat EWU pretty easily.SuperHornet wrote:Just look at how they got manhandled by the Big Sky. As a matter of fact, SIU and UNH don't belong either.
No...Weber didn't belong.SuperHornet wrote:Of course I meant Montana. This is just backhanded smack at those CAA honks who claim that the ENTIRE Sky (and by extension anyone west of the Mississippi River) sucks.
Is it just more or does none of this make sense?SuperHornet wrote:Hogwash. They had a bad day, and that's exactly the excuse UNH and SIU is going to use, too. Weber got more points on Montana than SFA did (a whole lot more). And Liberty would have gotten more than a FG, too. It's time for CAA to shut up.

Beat a CAA team, then come back and we'll talk...
Uhh, we did last year, and it was written off as luck.Col Hogan wrote:SuperHornet wrote:Hogwash. They had a bad day, and that's exactly the excuse UNH and SIU is going to use, too. Yeah, we know, a team other than Montana needs to make a semi final in order for that to likeley happen.Col Hogan wrote:When was the last time a BSC team (other than Montana) beat a CAA team???Grizalltheway wrote:

We're playing a lot better right now then we were last playoffs at this point, and we managed to beat the #1 seed in the tournament on the road then. The way this team is playing, I think it can beat any of the 3 remaining teams, including W&M.Col Hogan wrote:Ancient history...Grizalltheway wrote:

But if you want to go back that far, the team that beat you the next week was from what conference???
I'm not gonna knock SDSU because they are a great team...but that was a hellava come back last week...Grizalltheway wrote:We're playing a lot better right now then we were last playoffs at this point, and we managed to beat the #1 seed in the tournament on the road then. They were the #1 scoring team in the country (albeit playing in the Southland), and we managed to shut them out. That only happens when a team is really rolling in all facets of the game, and I don't think that'll change, regardless of who we're playing.Col Hogan wrote:I'm not gonna knock SDSU because they are a great team...but that was a hellava come back last week...Grizalltheway wrote:

But SFA...please...you're not really gonna judge how good the Griz are against SFA, are you???
Agreed. However, the (albeit playing in the Southland) is a key point of that top scoring team in the nation thing.Grizalltheway wrote:They were the #1 scoring team in the country (albeit playing in the Southland), and we managed to shut them out. The point, Mort, is that shutting out an offense that is prolific enough to score that many points per game, regardless of what conference the play in, is pretty impressive. But hey, keep on not giving Montana credit for anything they accomplish on the field.clenz wrote:Agreed. I did give you credit...I said I agreed with you. However, being the top scoring team in the nation from the Southland is a bit misleading.Grizalltheway wrote:The point, Mort, is that shutting out an offense that is prolific enough to score that many points per game, regardless of what conference the play in, is pretty impressive. Okay, how about putting 61 on the #1 ranked defense from the MVC? Does that mean it's just as weak as the Southland?clenz wrote:I did give you credit...I said I agreed with you. However, being the top scoring team in the nation from the Southland is a bit misleading.Grizalltheway wrote:

I don't have an answer for that. The MVFC proved this year we weren't as good as we thought we were.Grizalltheway wrote:Okay, how about putting 61 on the #1 ranked defense from the MVC? It's true this year. I'm perfectly ok admitting that. I wish I was wrong.JMU DJ wrote:clenz wrote: I don't have an answer for that. The MVFC proved this year we weren't as good as we thought we were.
[sarcasm on] YEAH!! SUCK IT MVFC!!! THE BIG SKY AND CAA OWN YOU!!! [sarcasm off]
