CAA in the Championship Game...

...for the sixth time in seven years. Will this year see a fifth different CAA(A10) champion in twelve seasons or will Richmond, Montana, or App State spoil the show for the winner of the Nova/W&M semi?

so which do you want answered
sixth in 7 or
5th in 12
and the A10 (extanct) or the CAA?
Very confusing.

The "sixth in 7" part was a statement, not a question. The period instead of a question mark should have tipped you off. I hope that clears up some of your confusion.

Ok, since I'm kind of a novice on some of this and willing to learn, can someone post the answers?
(previous teams)

I wouldn't get too wrapped up in a CAA self congratulatory circle jerk...
even pretending like you're interested gets them all excited

Keep basking in the glory of you other conference members...

No matter who plays in the NC they will have their hands full from Nova or W&M

I think the CAA should have run for President, it's having a better year. Although, the CAA is so hot it would probably add to global warming.

It's One team less hot tonight, replaced by HOT HOT HOT. I'm not sure what the net effect of that is...

Interesting to note...
if the CAA teams that are playing each other were playing the other two teams.. would we have an all CAA championship game..?
It is possible the two CAA teams left are the two best teams

but I guess we'll never know

Just throwing this out there but App State is 9-2 all-time against current members of the CAA in the playoffs

UMass 1998, Delaware 2003, JMU 2004 and Richmond 2008 have all won NC's. If Villanova or W&M win this year that would be 5 different CAA/A10 champs in 12 years.
Delaware 2003, JMU 2004, UMass 2006, Delaware 2007, Richmond 2008, W&M or Villanova 2009
That is 6 CAA teams in the finals in the last 7 years.

FWIW - I'd pick Montana to win over any CAA team in Missoula.

2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2008. Big Sky has had 5 teams in the finals in the last 9 years (about to be 6 in 10).
Ignore the fact that the all are named Montana.

Montana is 1-0 all-time against teams remaining in the playoffs.

Are you doubting my sincerity or my picks?
I think the Griz beat any CAA team at home. On a neutral field I'd probably pick Richmond, Villanova or W&M to win.

Guess we'll know who's winning the NC if you beat the Griz!

Montana will have an enormous home-field advantage this week, but if Appy pulls the upset they'll have an enormous home-field advantage the following week. I think that's the scenario that could cock block another CAA championship this year. Appy is tough to beat in the SoCon invitational.

a) interesting that you feel an App State victory would be an upset, given that most people feel Montana's "soft" schedule hasn't adequately prepared them for the playoffs
b) Boone to Chatty is 270 miles
b) Williamsburg to Chatty is 504 miles.
If W&M beats Villanova, they've got no excuse for not packing that stadium (other than the fact that nobody gives a shit about CAA football). But in that scenario, don't blame the proximity.
