Another CAA North program reiterates is commitment to CAA/FCS Football.......

A few tidbits:

* Cosgrove learned of Hofstra's demise while recruiting Northeastern players in Boston.
* Maine's meager football budget is approximately $3 million.
* AD Blake James stated that "the departure of Northeastern and Hofstra shouldn’t have many deep-reaching consequences for UMaine’s football program."
* No mention of new Northeast reduced scholarship league.......that one seems to be a URI "wish".

What was the average attendance at Maine in '09? Was it higher than Hofstra's?

I really wondered about Maine. Nice of them to silence that quickly.
