  • Best Performance: New Hampshire 49, McNeese St. 13 - RJ Toman accounts for 4 total touchdowns as the Wildcats move into the quarterfinals for the fifth time in six years.

    Worst Performance: McNeese St. 13, New Hampshire 49 - The Cowboys have lost their last three home playoff games by an average score of 43-10.

    Most Surprising Result: (#1) Montana 61, South Dakota St. 48 - In perhaps the craziest game in the history of the playoffs, the top-seeded Griz remind everyone of 1993 and shockingly fall behind by 27 (twice) to the newbie Jackrabbits only to rally for 40 unanswered points over the final 20:30. Marc Mariani put up an astonishing 389 all-purpose yards (171 rec., 178 KR, 40 PR) and 3 total TDs while QB Andrew Selle made everyone forget his lousy first half. Selle went 21/28 for 241 yards and 2 TDs in the second half after going 6/15 for 68 yards plus a TD and 2 INTs in the first.

  • Best Performance: North Dakota 17, Central Arkansas 16 - The Sioux finish their second transitional season with a respectable 5-3 mark against FCS.

    Worst Performance: Central Arkansas 16, North Dakota 17 - The Bears dominated the yardage, but settled for 6 field goal attempts of which they missed 3.

    Most Surprising Result: Central Arkansas 16, North Dakota 17 - The Bears looked great early, but finished the season on a 5 game losing streak.
