I fear the tongue lashing that is about to happen but I think Montana is a first-round loser.

SDSU is a solid solid football team.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, DF. Even if yours makes you an idiot. :kisswink:

EWU over SFA.

Weber over W&M is a distinct possibility also.

I do believe Clenz, though not as eloquent, made this exact same statement about a week ago

People who's teams didn't make the playoffs aren't allowed on this thread. :| :ugeek:

Well, then this thread technically doesn't exist as it was started by someone who's team didn't make the playoffs.

Yeah, but NAU has the greatest QB ever who didn't make the playoffs.

The only thing that's keeping me from calling this too is the QB situation at SDSU. IIRC, they've got a freshman coming into Wa-Griz. To say that's an impediment to victory would be an understatement.

redshirt Frosh O'Brien. Kid is a player and having played against Minnesota a few weeks ago will help. I'm not too worried about him. I just think the SDSU defense will hold Montana's offense in check.

Why are people referring to the potential EWU and New Hampshire wins as upsets?

I think EWU and UNH are favorites despite being on the road.

MSU had one of the best defenses in the conference, and gave up 33 at home.

It's actually his performance at Minnesota that has me a bit worried in terms of pulling off the upset. 38.5% completion percentage, two picks, no TDs, four sacks and a QB rating of 67.62. Seems like he was rattled.

I do think the SDSU defense will hold Montana down some, but I just don't think O'Brien will do enough.

Weber will pull the upset and EWU will too so all 3 Big Sky teams will move on because Montana is not going to lose.

"One of the best defenses in the conference" doesn't mean much when it's the Big Fluff. SDSU has a MUCH better defense than MSU or anyone else that Montana has played this year.

Western State - 84th defense in Division II
UC Davis - 54th defense
Portland State - 107th defense
Northern Arizona - 100th defense
Cal Poly - 102nd defense
Eastern Washington - 109th defense
Sacremento State - 116th defense
Weber State - 79th defense
Idaho State - 118th defense
Northern Colorado - 87th defense
Montana State - 67th defense

No defenses in the top 50.

South Dakota State - 16th defense

Will be interesting to see how Montana does against a decent defense... because, they haven't played one yet (average defense is 94 :o ... and that's not including Western State).

South Dakota State has a shot, but I dont think it will happen. Griz win 24-10

Eastern Washington has a very talented offense, SFA is at home. Game could go either way. Eags 45-40

Tribe have apparently a top defense, but can they stop all in the horde of Offensive weapons the Wildcats possess? If the Cats dont turn it over, I would say the answer is NO. Wildcats 28-20

More bashing the quality of the Southland teams. No one is giving them a shot. I will eat my crow if they both lose but I really don't see it happening. SFA may lose but I really don't think UNH can beat McNeese.

UNH is always a hit or miss. Who knows what they are going to do.
