Teams Being Considered for Playoffs

Based on a few teams laying eggs here is the list I have from each league:
Auto Bids
CAA- Villanova
MVC- SIU
Big Sky- Montana
SoCon- App St.
SLC- Stephen F. Austin
OVC- EIU
MEAC- SC St.
Patriot League- Holy Cross
At-Large Possibilities
IN THE FIELD
CAA Richmond
CAA William & Mary
CAA UNH
SLC McNeese State
MVC South Dakota St.
SoCon Elon
LIKELY IN THE FIELD
Big Sky Eastern Washington 8-3
BUBBLE
MVC Northern Iowa 7-4
Big Sky Weber State 7-4
MEAC Florida A&M 8-3
I did not think Weber State would get in but they are clearly a shot because of teams like Liberty, Lafayette, and UNI losing. If it was me I would take EWU and either UNI or Weber State but I could see FAMU getting in. I think the committee will have a tough time selecting the last team with 15 of the teams being fairly easy.

FAMU getting in would be a travesty

Sounds about right, although I think Weber at 7-4 is about 85% to get the last spot.

Weber should definitely be #7 (they beat EWU handily).
EWU should definitely be #8.
To me, any of the other "bubble" teams getting in over those two would be a shock. EWU & Weber have better FCS records than UNI & Lafayette while they have clearly tougher schedules than Colgate, Liberty, & FAMU. The committee has made inexplicable decisions before, though.

Just to echo others, Weber should be in without a doubt, IMO.

Based on the latest Sagarin, UNI is ahead of Weber, and SFA is down around where Liberty fell to.

Weber should be in, but not @ #7 with fewer wins than EWU.

And based on the latest Sagarin, Elon is better than App.

You guys have the same # of wins. DI wins are all that count. And Weber won H2H. Give it up, beating Directional Oregon doesn't mean jack.

If EWU is in, Weber is in. The committee has shown in years past they like the head to head outcome in two teams being close to equal.

I think that the committee holds their nose and takes Weeber last. They're both good teams in good leagues and of comparable ability this year, imo. The committee probably wants UNI for the Dome attendance; the problem is that UNI peaked earlier in the year and would go into the playoffs with their best ball already played.

And probably a second string QB

There is also a chance that Weber gets taken over EWU thanks to head to head, and Weber didn't schedule a D2. In addition, Weber finished 2nd in the Big Sky. I would love to see the BSC as a 3 bid conference..I just think EWU should be a little more wary than they are.

FAMU doesn't have a chance in hell at an at-large.
Team ahead of FAMU in rank order (for 2 spots):
EWU
Weber St.
UNI
Colgate
Liberty
FAMU

Agree 100%, and with the rank order as well.

I think EWU and Weber both make it. I don't think it matters which one is considered the 7th or 8th at large.
There is a slim chance that 9-2 Colgate gets in over 7-4 Weber.

It matters with regard to who gets to go to Brookings and who gets to go to Lake Charles.

I agree with Weber being taken over EWU, but that still leaves on spot remaining. Which other bubble team has a better resume than EWU?

As the chips happened to fall this year, there is no reason to exclude either Eastern Washington or Weber. This should not be a difficult discussion for the selection committee.

Nobody that I have seen.

Many would argue that would be a good thing.
