High of 31 with snow showers expected. Who does this favor, if anyone?

IMO, if UM gets Chase going early it will be a long day for the Cats.

I predict Griz 31-17

I don't know that the weather favors either team. They're both from Montana, should be used to it by now. Should be cold enough that the ball being slippery from rain won't be a problem. Just a nice November afternoon in Montana :) .

I think Mariani will be a big factor. The Cat secondary isn't all that good so the potential will be there for him to break one (or two). Likewise, the Cats have struggled in special teams. Mariani took one to the house against them last year, would be great to see him do the same this year. I see the game as playing out similarly to last week's game against N. Colorado (or last year's game against the Cats, for that matter). Close in the first half with the Griz making more plays and pulling away in the 2nd half.

I do NOT want weather to be a factor. While it may help Reynolds, it'll also potentially negate Mariani, and I think that's our biggest advantage here....Pray for clear skys and a clean field!

And hope the local female feral cats are in heat!

This is what the MSU defense will look like after Chase runs all OVER their furry asses.

I agree with the fact that its quite apparent that the bobcats D will have to step up dramatically to stop Mariani and Company. However i think the Cats have a chance because they are at home and the Griz lately have been notoriously slow to start lately. MSU is going to have to play the best game of the year this saturday, looking forward to watching :thumb:

And i think it would be interesting if this happened :twocents:

I think the TE's need to have a big day as well. Phaler & Beaudin will need to come up big in keeping the drives rolling.

I'm also interested to see what the gadget plays will be this year.

Montana State - scores 11 less points a game than Montana
Montana State - gives up 4 more points a game than Montana
Montana State - leads the league in rushing defense. Montana leads the league in rushing offense.
Montana State - leads the league in sacks. Montana leads the league in fewest sacks allowed.
Montana State - leads the league in Red Zone Defense. Montana leads the league in Red Zone Offense.

This should be interesting. What happens when an irresistable force meets an immovable object.

Both teams' running games should struggle, but Montana has the better passing attack and MSU's pass defense is slightly more vulnerable. That and the return game should make the difference for the Griz.

If the weather is bad, I wouldn't be surprised if the game comes down to the punters. In any case, as long as we're talking football and not MBB, a Griz win is a foregone conclusion.

When did the Cats get their fieldturf. That should help with footing.

My thoughts exactly. And I was very impressed with both team's tight ends - they had good games against us.

Cap'n Cat says the Bobcats nut up, pin the Griz and send them to the playoffs reeling and sluggish where they lose their first rounder to South Dakota State......at home. Still, Ronbo is happy 'cause Montana sets a concession sales record and overtakes App State in that category. Makes his year.

Cats 34
Griz 31

It's Lolo creek sushi, it affects the brain.

Grizo, you're supposed to COOK the fish before you eat them!

Oh, BTW: 31-13 Griz
