PROOF the CAA is NOT the best FCS conference

The best conference is in fact the CAA South.
Combined Overall records:
South: 40-20 (0.667)
North: 25-35 (0.417)
Combined records excluding games within the division, which of course count in both the win and loss columns:
South: 28-8 (0.778)
North: 13-23 (0.361)
Record vs opposite division:
South: 14-4 (0.778) (3 teams are 3-0, none are 0-3 vs the North)
North: 4-14 (0.222) (3 teams are 0-3, none are 3-0 vs the South)
Record vs FCS OOC:
South: 10-1 (Opponents' records: 52-57 0.477)
North: 7-4 (Opponents' records: 54-54 0.500)
Record vs FBS:
South: 3-3
North: 1-5
Record vs non-D1:
South: 1-0
North: 1-0

Perhaps we should start dividing the CAA like THEY do. The CAA SOUTH is perhaps the best 6-team conference. In fact, it might not matter WHAT two teams were added, it STILL would be the best 8 team conference in the nation.
The North? Meh.....not so much.

What's interesting is that the top 2 in the South and the top 3 in the North are not actually CAA members.

True, but then again the CAA Football Conference isn't really the CAA anyway.

Kind of like the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
WIU, YSU, SDSU, and NDSU are not Missouri Valley Conference members, which is why I didn't understand the renaming of the conference....unless it was so SIU and UNI could have more MVC title banners up instead of Gateway and MVC...

Who gives a crap about the best conference, as long as you are in with one that has an auto-bid. Using the Big South as an example, by far not the best conference going, but once they get the auto-bid, Liberty will be writing their ticket to the playoffs without getting the $hit kicked out of them week in and week out.
