No-brainer this time

I picked Harvard/Penn to mess up the results.

UNH/Bill and Mary should be a great one, but I went with the homer pick.

Elon/App St

I went UNH/W&M for homer's sake, and if W&M wins and Nova wins out we get the CAA Championship (I believe).


Otherwise Elon App State for sure. Seed implications.

A lot of great games this week around the FCS.

No one cares about the Ivies.

The Barbecue Game has bearing on a potential at-large. That in and of itself puts it at the Game of the Week level.

Don't most of these games have playoff implications? And a few Conference champion implications? So, won't we all become homers this week?

UNH/William & Mary and Elon/App State all pretty much will be in the playoffs. NAU/WSU the loser is staying home and whoever that is is a pretty dang good team. How can that not be the game of the week?

From what I hear, Elon has the first decent defense in the history of the SoCon.

Will it be enough to stop the usual App State attack - great on offense, mediocre on defense and asleep at the wheel special teams?

I think APP gets slAPPed around and is exposed as a team that hopped on the spread bandwagon, but can't maintain that effort.

Hands down Elon vs. App state. They're expecting almost 3,000 people over stadium capacity. Southern Fried Football backed out on the Clemson @ NC State game and is coming to Elon because App @ Elon is the biggest game in North Carolina this year.

That's great.

UT could be playing St Mary's Sisters of the Poor or a high shcool team and still get more press and attention than TXST/McNeese. Hell, UT could decide not to field a team and still get more attention (in other words, not even have a football team during football season), for that matter.
