I come home and see we barely beat Idaho f*****ing State?

When my dad texted me 12-10 I naturally assumed he meant 21-10 and was STILL disappointed.

And that's even with 492 yards of offense.

Stupid turnovers & even stupider penalties cost the Griz a lot of points. Idaho State also dominated time of possession.

Ok ok some consolation?

Eight years ago, last place Idaho State was up on MT by two TDs in Pocatello.

The Griz rallied and barely beat the lowly Bengals 31-28....Everyone figured the Griz would be out early in the playoffs..

Two months later the Griz won the national championship.

Alcohol is a funny thing.

Already went over that with AZ on the game thread. These things happen all the time so I guess I don't take a close victory as hard as some do. Heck I don't even care for undefeated seasons before hitting the playoffs but if you DO go undefeated then a close win to an opponent like this can do a good job of properly motivating a team in place of the loss.

The Griz made every mistake possible - Hell, every mistake you could even make up - and they still won the game...

I mean every mistake in the book..!!! and over and over again - really amazing to watch

We wanted to make sure that the Cat-Griz game meant something. :D

Duck loss means your boys can't jump Boise now in the polls. Unless you want a do-over on the Stanford game, too (because everyone knows the Ducks are much better than Stanford  ).

That's the comfort I take out of it. They don't do that for a long time after they do it once.

Typical Griz ISU game....closer than it should have been. I don't think the Griz know how to blow out ISU...seriously

The ISU guys were pumped after ever little thing... they were focused and playing with 60 minutes of high emotion - they pushed hard on every play and out worked the Griz all day

If ISU played like that every game they'd have some wins
If the Griz played like that every day - they'd have some losses

Bobby H. will have a field day with this...!!!

Well not since 1999 anyway.

In 2002 we beat them 13-9 in our stadium and in 2003 we lost 40-43 at their place. All of the other games since have been close including a 2 point win in 2004 which of course was another NC appearance complete with absolute throttlings of all opponents on the way to it.

Well, they might as well pack in the season, they'll be lucky to finish in the top 25. Hell, we should consider moving down to D-II after that game. Or, we could just drop football altogether.

It ain't just him it's 1/2 the fucking tool bags out there in Griz land that think they have it all figured out as far as what the reasons are. "Hauck doesn't know how to motivate a team", I'm sure Hauck took a completely different approach this week in preparing than he has in the previous 8 weeks. :willybs:

Sometimes it takes another team to motivate your ass and I hope that ISU provided us that service yesterday.
