Just one correction.
you say that UCA could take the autobid. UCA still isn't actually eligible until next year.

It was a typo. Thanks for catching it. I don't even think they are eligible next year, are they?
EDIT: Actually, I went to change it and it reads: Not that UCA could win the autobid

Is that official or is that the SLC's proposal to the NCAA?

It is official. They had a 4 year transition period.

just thought I'd post this "food for thought" for all of you that have been touting UCA this year, and keeping them in your polls. Even the results from this page/thread .
FCS Update wrote:Not that UCA could take the autobid, but they seemed to be a player again.
So let's take a looksee, shall we?
UCA is 2-2 in conference. They beat NWS and NSU, lost to SFA and SELA. 2 of their other wins were over DII schools. Yeah, they beat WKU (0-8), the worst team in the FBS but I didn't take much stock from that when they won that game. Oh and they held off till the end against Hawaii (2-6) who have beaten an FCS(UCA) and 1-7 Washington State. (FBS 117) IMHO, no quality win.
This is not some round about way to try to get TXST in people's minds for the polls. I don't think we belong there....yet.

UCA hasn't played McNeese.
Their loss previous to this weekend was SFA, who everyone also thought was good. No one in the SLC really stands out. McNeese squeaked by a D-II, but then beat App St. SFA looked good until Texas State shut them down. UCA looked good until yesterday. Hawaii and SFA weren't bad losses.

And we put up more points on # 8 TCU than
anyone this year...it's still a loss.
Let's face it, the SLC has become a giant clusterfuck that won't be sorted out until after week 11.
Week 11
McNeese @ TXST
SFA @ SELA

Yep, our D sucked, but that wasn't the point.

does that mean that UNI is better than Iowa State, Arizona, Penn State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Indiana?

Hey, pay attention to the point being made here or is that beyond your capacity to sit back and evaluate?
I'm not comparing losses, I was being sarcastic. A loss is a loss and only having 1 quality win does not a poll selection make, in my book. ie: neither team deserves a place in the top 25.
If you look at SFA, they only have 2 quality wins, those being McNeese & UCA (which is now questionable) Unless you consider 4 - 4 UND a quality win.
McNeese has 2 quality wins
As I said, the SLC is a clusterfuck and still getting too many props. It will shake out the next 2 weeks.
