...Richmond got a vote in the AP poll this week? Someone thinks they're a top 25 team in the country. Are they the first FCS since App. St. to get one during the regular season?

Yeah UNI in '07
But its cool and dumb at the same time
cool cause your team is #1
but dumb cause they will never make it in the top 25

I would say if the Ticks run the table and win the NC undefeated that they might crack the top 25...

Here's some background on the voter who ranked UR #25, courtesy of the Daily Press.
http://weblogs.dailypress.com/sports/te ... _vote.html
Excerpt:
A gift from the blog gods arrived this morning with word that San Francisco Chronicle columnist Ray Ratto voted Richmond No. 25 on his Associated Press college football ballot this week.
A gift because Ratto is among the most insightful, amusing and -- dare we say? -- twisted people in the racket. Since we know Ratto from the NCAA basketball tournament circuit, an e-mail was in order.
The subject line was "explain yourself, young man," which he did in typically irreverent style. We prefaced the question with the notion that perhaps the Spiders could give the Oakland Raiders a game, and here's his reponse:
"How do you figure Richmond would lower its ranking by scheduling the Raiders? That said, I spend upwards of three or four hours each weekend on the damned poll, trying to make it as close to tolerable given the limitations as I can, and after I threw Virginia Tech and Oklahoma at the bottom, I couldn't find a 25th.

I noticed that. Good stuff.
And note that on the FBS coaches poll, Dook, a team Richmond beat got 3 votes.
