One thing that Dennis Wagner said yesterday...

...during the Western Carolina post game show has given me a reason to smile. "This team does NOT give up." But with that, they still have not found a way, other than The Citadel, to seal the deal. Briggs teams though DID give up and that is why we're where we are. 42 of the 82 current Catamounts are either freshmen or redshirt freshmen. Have to keep hoping that we'll get there. If all our kids stay, in 2012, we will be PURE HELL! Hope I can make 3 more years. HA!

go cats!!!

Soooo.....you're back on the Wagner bandwagon?

(psst...Wagner's not the first to use that line in reference to his players during another losing season)

It is easy to say that Wagner is going to get it done, but there is no real reason to think he is going to. He has not made the huge change that Huisman (sp) of UTC has. He has lost or run off so many players is the reason that your team is so young. He offers scholarships like campaign buttons. I really expected to be offered a scholly by him this past year....everyone, just about, got one. There are so many other things that could be said about his temperament, coaching philosoply, follow through, etc. Your old coach, if he had the additional support from the administration that Wagner does, could have done some great things. Wagner will show only very small accomplishments in the next few years.

Western is offering a great deal of good players, but aren't signing any of them. The talent level to make a serious run at a SoCon title just isn't there. It may come around in a few years, but it's not there now.

Sorry, I must have misintepreted your comments earlier this season....

Fine with that, 3-9, repeats the same process to the point that we have 48 freshmen or RS freshmen on roster, 12 seniors only, no depth and now some grumblings from former alumni and players who are put off by the attitude of the new sheriff and his deputies. Ahh..............what bliss it is to be WCU supporter.
We would not even win the Big South in 2009 and would probably finish in the bottom half of the D2 South Atlantic Conference. It will get no better until the administration is ran out of Cullowhee. Needless to say, football season could end tomorrow for me and I would be fine with it. Carry on."

Huesman at UTC=Brad Scott at South Carolina, 1994-98. Check the records.

I don't know, CMan, you might be wrong on this one. UTC's been able to get some pretty decent talent over the last few years (at least according to the recruiting services, and they aren't always right), and it seems that they have only been missing the man at the top. I do think that Huesman will only be with the Mocs for a short time, but I think it'll be because he's moving up, not out.

I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

Thinking about the WCU game but not sure. Am sure, assuming they get to playoffs & have 1st round in Boone, of going to that game the Saturday after Thanksgiving. But, if they lose to Elon, that will solidify the WCU game as I would hate myself for not seeing Armanti play one more time in Boone.....

...& yes, we will shotgun.....oh yes we will...

Very nice. Great success. Yeah, can't miss AE's last game against CHS and possibly in KBS.

Hate to be that guy but O'Douls has alcohol in it as well. While not much, it is enough to cause a "relapse" if you will.
