I decided to take a look at how the races for the Payton and Buchanan might look at this point. I did this quickly so there could easily be an error or 20.

I know that many of the 20 names I have on both lists are not on there but simply offering a different list from what we have based on what I have seen from certain players. What do you guys think? Anyone major that is missing?

Missing LB Brandin Jordan of SIU, and Karim has a higher all-purpose yardage.

Not trying pick, bro. I just noticed that the rushing per game and the total offense per game were the same.

As for Lindsey/Jordan, it's hard to say, this year probably Lindsey, but Jordan is a big reason why opponents have converted 37% of 3rd downs, 20% of 4th downs (3/15!), and have 3 rushing TDs all season.

As for Lindsey/Jordan, it's hard to say, this year probably Lindsey, but Jordan is a big reason why opponents have converted 37% of 3rd downs, 20% of 4th downs (3/15!), and have 3 rushing TDs all season.

One thing that most awards do and I don't is they lean towards seniors and I usually lean towards the biggest impact player regardless of what year they are. I try not to look at class and I know with the official awards they have to do that. Just trying to give a different look at the awards. The top 5 players for both are on the official lists and I did try to make sure I kept the top 5 to players only on the official list so I would not be too much of a rebel on this.

Unfortuntely they will probably taking Dane Fletcher off the the list. He missed last weeks game against EWU and will miss this week and possibly next week as well due to illness. Tough break for a great kid and it's his senior year.

I thought about Toone but 3 guys from the same team seems a bit too much. Looking at the 3 returning from last year you can certainly see that teams have focused on shutting them down because all of their numbers are down. Of course, if I was a coach I would have done the same thing because Toone, Roberts, and Mariani are all great players.

Ya 3 is just too many so Toone gets dis'd by default. Really though they should drop Trevyn Smith and add Toone. Smith didn't even play last week and is falling behind the other running backs. Smith was just automatic for a preseaon pick, in 2008 he led all of FCS/FBS in scoring and I believe rushing in FCS or was in the top few.

Wouldn't hurt. I'm just not used to seeing a QB with negative rushing yards, especially in college.

Wouldn't categorize Brian as a mobile by any stretch, but he's more elusive than you think...he's rarely asked to run and when you run as man four and five receiver patterns as we do, you're vulnerable to taking sacks...he moves around in the pocket very well.

Pat Grace has no chance at the award, after his past two games.

Not trying pick, bro. I just noticed that the rushing per game and the total offense per game were the same.

Jordan's pressure on the QB probably helped Lindsey get some of those INTs. Both are good players and complement each other well. Mixon would probably be in the mix if he hadn't got his jaw broken at Marshall and missed all those weeks. Kyle Walker filled in the games he missed and had 25 tackles, 5 TFL and 4.5 sacks. Pretty good for an undersized backup LB. Walker may be the only second stringer in the top 20 in the nation in sacks.

I have seen every player in my top 5 and Sherritt and I think Sherritt is close but those other guys are special. Sherritt is a good player but I felt those in my top 5 have the "it" factor above all. Sherritt will be in the preseason top 3 for next year though. He could even slip into my top 5 here in the next couple of weeks if any of my current 5 have a bad week or two and Sherritt keeps it up.
