Who are the front runners at the current time for a seed come playoff time??? My guess:


#1 - Richmond/Villanova/W&M

Richmond is 7-0 and has - Nova - @ Georgetown - W&M... UR will be #1 if they win out - #3 or #4 if they lose one game

Villanova is 7-1 and has - @ Richmond - @ Towson - Delaware... Nova will be #1 if they win out - could be #4 at 9-2

W&M - is 6-1 and has - @ URI - Towson - UNH - @ Richmond... W&M will be #1 if they win out and UD beats Nova - could be #4 at 9-2


#2 - Montana if they win out

#3 - SIU/SDST/Elon

SIU will be #3 if they win out
SDST will be #2 or #3 if they win out - #4 if they beat SIU and lose to Minnesota
Elon will be #3 if they win out and SDST beats SIU but loses to Minnesota

#4 - Elon/ASU/UNH and the remaining two CAA's from group #1

Elon will be #3 or #4 if they win out
ASU could be #4 if they win out
Richmond/W&M/Nova - see above
UNH - maybe #4 if they win out (URI - @ W&M - Maine ) and Elon and ASU both lose a game and Richmond loses two

and now my head hurts........

Elon/SFA

I think the winner of the SoCon, if they're undefeated, will receive the #4 seed.

If UNH losses @ W&M, then it clears the way for Elon or App to be #3 or #4, depending on SIU/SDSU.

Personally, I think Richmond goes undefeated, earning the #1 seed and knocking W&M and Nova down a notch. Montana wins out, getting the #2. After that, my initial thought was SIU, but they're QB situation opens the gate for SDSU. Me being a homer, I think App wins out and sneaks into the #3 seed after SDSU beats SIU and losses to Minnesota. I also think UNH will lose at W&M, which helps App/Elon out.

The #4 seed in that case is a toss up. All the teams mentioned above are possible, along with SFA SCSU (provided they win out).

If Montana losses along with the scenarios above, then App could sneak into the #2 seed.
