At least W&M is a full CAA member...I voted W&M.

If I weren't a Delaware fan, it would be William & Mary. I like seeing the CAA send a different team to stomp everyone's ass each year. W&M could make it four CAA championships in seven years and the fifth different CAA team to win it all. Same applies to Nova, but fuck them. UNH would be cool too.

They beat a team playing its last meaningful game handily.

And they looked pedestian doing it. This game was 17-3 until JMU shit the bed and fumbled on their only decent drive of the day with about 6 minutes left. Admit it, Bill & Hillary didn't look dominating by any means....against a below average team that knew coming INTO this game their season was already cooked.

If the CAA wins the National Championship this season, it will be either Richmond or Delaware.

Hey, if you're that high on Delaware, more power to you. Until we beat Richmond (fail), W&M (fail), or Nova (TBD), I can't place us above them in the CAA South pecking order.

That being said, this Delaware team has grown by leaps and bounds as the season has gone on, so if the trend continues and we can pull an upset of Navy or Nova, we will be dangerous in the bracket.

I know it's not probable, but you guys could root for App. Heck, we could compromise that you wear gold shirts in support instead of black.

Nice attempt at sandbagging.

Other than Richmond, no one is playing better than Delaware right now.

This is surreal. Mainejeff and I are going back and forth about Delaware and he's on Delaware's side.

No, I'm not sandbagging; just spewing facts again. We've lost to every team we were supposed to lose to and beaten every team we were supposed to (save the UMass game perhaps, but that's debatable). If the trend continues, we finish 7-4 and watch the first round on TV.

So which of @Navy or @Nova do you think we beat if we are going to finish at 8-3 or 9-2? Don't sandbag. Before you answer, know that Navy is already a bowl-eligible 6-2 with only losses @ Ohio State by 4 points and @ Pitt. And if you've ever been to Annapolis to watch the Brigade of Midshipmen march on and then proceed to yell with megaphones the entire game along with 35,000 in a packed house every game, you'll know what that environment is like.

Nova or Richmond are the CAA's best shot at the title game. No other CAA team will get that far. ;)

OK, now I can argue why Delaware will win it all!

This is Delaware we're talking about - no matter how bad Hofstra and JMU might be (and Hofstra doesn't suck too bad), both team give daHenz fits. I could easily see us losing to either one - or better still to both, and then sweeping Nova and Navy and yet still missing the playoffs.

Realistically though we'll beat Hofstra, squeak by JMU, and then get handled by both Nova and Navy to finish with 4 losses and bounced from the playoffs...

No doubt. I mentioned in another thread that Hofstra is bipolar. If we get "Good Hofstra" at The Tub in two weeks we're fucked. We have to hope we get "Doesn't Want to Get Out of Bed Hofstra". JMU is just looking worse and worse by the week. The only thing that could kill us in that game is turnovers. Their defense is still formidable.

Delaware will beat Villanova.......no problem......and enter the playoffs with an 8-3 record.

Villanova 28, William & Mary 14
William & Mary 30, Delaware 20

I'll take Villanova AND Navy to block......Delaware's path to the playoffs.

AZ uses the transitive theory to play down Delaware's playoff chances.

It's a risky move, Cotton. Let's see if it works out for him...

For whatever reason, Delaware usually steps up in Annapolis during seasons that still matter. It also helps that Navy will be coming off of Notre Dame the week we're down there. I expect a very high scoring affair again. Maybe not the 110+ points from the last game, but 80+ wouldn't surprise me.
