A Missoulian article today announced that Idaho State will play at Georgia next season. Hopefully, they don't need to schedule two FBS teams next season, as I would love to see the Bengals improve their fortunes next year.

With the state of their athletic programs I forsee many of these games to come so that ISU can pay for their athletics.

Idaho St has already posted their schedule, and it does include two FBS teams, @Utah St on 9/11 and the aforementioned Bulldogs.

You may as well get paid to go and get a loss instead of paying a d2 to come to your house and beat ya.

You've got a point there. Hell, why not schedule a third one then. :coffee:

How good is Montana-Western? Cause that's ISU's third OOC game. Could the Bengals be looking at another 0-3 OOC?

I don't think so but you never know man. If they struggle against MT Western then they need to give it up.

It may be a way to get some cash in the coffer and make some improvements down the road to try and get back to a level down the road where they are at least competitive. At this point I don't know how many options they have to bring in the bucks. They need to whore out to the highest paying customers. If they were to luck out and get ONE win at a high profile school it may be the gamble that could get them back there.

If they're going to schedule a non-counter, they might as well schedule another FBS instead. At least get paid.

Montana-Western is an NAIA team and a so-so one at that. ISU should win that one easily. If they scheduled Carroll College of Montana then it would be a toss-up as to who wins.

Wow.. ISU really is throwing in the towel on athletics.. football, anyways. Very little support in the community and state, whoring themselves out to the biggest names in college football in the name of a payday.. this program is literally at rock bottom. Given the state of things, how likely is it that ISU will continue to fund football? Not sure how a coach could go get motivated to walk into a scenario like that. Great experience for the kids getting to play at Oklahoma and Georgia.. but damn.
