Right. This used to be normal until about 2006 or so.

Everyone else had a bye that week.

Pitt up 7-0 on Hens already. Hens look completely outclassed vs the ACC opponent.

Three and out and then Pitt scores on four plays.

Delaware's best play so far was an unsportsmanlike on Pitt after celebrating flattening Hurley on a sack.

Delaware is dreadful; just dreadful.

You can call SHSU/EWU as part of "week 1" I guess. The reality is that it doens't fall under a "week" and if it did would likely be called Week 0
Like Bonarae, ESPN is entitled to call whichever week they want, week one. Doesn't mean they're accurate. :coffee:
Exactly, ESPN kept saying EWU lost in the quarterfinals the last two years. :dunce:

Yeah, this is week 1 of the college football season. Our game just happened to be prior to week 1.

Checking out Montana v. Wyoming. The Griz have 22 total yards and 1 first down at the half. The good news is the Cowboys have only 99 yards, 8 first downs. 3-0, pokes.

7-6 Virginia Tech over W&M early in the 2nd.

Tribe with 2 FGs in 3 possessions. Tech with a TD and INT on a tipped pass in 2 possessions. Tribe is getting Tech to 3rd down (and even long) but having trouble stopping them there as Tech is 5 of 6 on 3rd down with the 1 miss being the INT off of a tip at the line.

This is a very odd game. Wyoming putting a lot of pressure on Johnson. Both defenses are what's keeping their teams in the game.

Go Griz? (just this once)

Great game by the Bison. Totally dominated Iowa State.

For an FCS team to beat the Bison, you better have a good defense...

Final

It's hard to believe Iowa only had 2 penalties the entire came. But I'm not going to complain about lack of penalties on Iowa. We need to stop having so many penalties on us. I'm tired of the personal fouls/unsportsmanlike issues we seem to constantly have year after year. Two delay of game penalties in a row? :ohno:

Congrats to the Bison. Always glad to see an FBS team get beat by FCS. Even if it is only FCS whipping boy Iowa State!
