Towson's terrible pass defense is ranked #74 in the FCS

So 1-1 with excuses... let me rephrase, how many playoff teams has Lehigh beaten? The level of competition Lehigh faced cant even stack up to the level of competition in the CAA. Towson played 7 ranked teams, losing to just one by 5 with their worse FCS performance all year(see what I did there). Liberty was top 25 in some polls and not in others.

Lehigh fans need to take a chill pill and realize your numbers dont mean much when your competition is a total joke with just one rep from the Patriot league. Towson had a top scoring defense in the country after the first three games allowing just 10 points a game until they started playing a brutal CAA schedule with six top 21 teams including two ranked 7th. Lehigh gave up 48 points against UNH... so dont think you will just shut down the Towson team.

Hard to lose when you play so many stat boosting unranked teams, uh oh. Towson scored more on UNH and on Colgate (other common opponent). Additionally, Towson allowed Colgate to score less than Lehigh did with Colgate. Towson has played three times as many playoff teams and beaten all three. Lehigh played one and LOST. Look at the game, Colgate got 14 points at the end when the back ups are on and the offensive isnt trying to run up the score. Lets look at the scores by quarter

Lehigh vs Colgate
1st 7-3 Lehigh
2nd 21-12 Lehigh
3rd 31-18 Lehigh
4th 45-25 Lehigh

Towson vs Colgate
1st 3-0 Colgate
2nd 14-3 Towson
3rd 35-3 Towson

By your own admission (taking people out in the 3rd) your first group only scored 31 points while giving up 18 compared to Towson scoring 31 by that point and only giving up 3. If anything Towson put the backups before Lehigh did so once again get of your high horse and face reality. Peter Athens(back up QB for Towson) engineered that last drive.

What makes your claims even worse is that Lehigh had its starting QB in til the end of the game including those last two scores of the game...

yes, holding what most people consider the top running back in the FCS to under 120 yards rushing would be considered an accomplishment, particularly in view of the fact that Towson's passing attack will result in less than 150 yards passing

this compared to Lehigh's over 450 yards in total offense against Towson

The only way Lehigh holds him to under 120 is if Towson has such a big lead at halftime their scrubs play the 2nd half.

Towson has scored LESS than 30 points exactly ONCE this year against FCS competition. I'm pretty sure they're scoring 30 on Lehigh. Get ready for an ass-kicking of epic proportions. Lehigh will be like a deer in the headlights.
