You cant spell 'App State' without A.E. :coffee:
Perhaps you'd like to enlighten everyone the last time ASU didn't have one of the better QBs in the FCS?

His answer is gonna be, or was gonna be 2010 saint. You set yourself up for some of that good ol' "Future FACTS" thing that BF uses.

2) You can't replace Nichols overnight and that guy was amazing. Jones will be your offense and he won't be enough

3) New offensive system with more passing means that average D that Eastern had will get lit up even more than before with Haucks ball control O.
4) New, more aggressive defensive scheme will limit and fluster a new Eagles QB as the film he will be watching to get ready will be nothing like he will see on the field.

Make sure you have black and white film in that camera BF, you may not be able to see any of the players against that turf!!
1) We beat UM in 2005, then went on to make the playoffs.
2) That's what everyone said before the 2006 season when we lost Erik Meyer. I believe the guy who replaced him was Matt Nichols. Jones will be a big part of our offense, but we have a lot of weapons, and BLM is just as if not more accurate than Nichols, especially on the deep ball.
3) UM has a new offensive scheme, which means it might take time to be effective; unproven.
4) That's purely conjecture.

Film is a dying art, and black and white photos would make EWU players even harder to distinguish.

Ugh, it was long winded, you tripped over ur words... You're losin your edge... just like UM Football.
51-6 (31-1 in BSC), 4-0 over EWU in the last four years. I wonder what those numbers would be if we hadn't lost our edge....

1. History says otherwise.
2. Really hard to gauge at this point, IMHO. That said, after having having two of the greatest QB's in FCS history back to back, I think the tendency of most rival school's fans is to think that we won't possibly have another of that caliber. I think a few folks might be surprised at just how much potential BLM has to be at that same level.
3. Maybe, but I tend to think we'd have a better shot in a shoot-out......remember, we are usually in the top 5 offensively every year.
4. Even in games lost, EWU traditionally puts up big numbers against UM. The difference the past few years has been UM's ability to run the ball and a big play here or there.

^Nailed it, We all know the game came down to a 3 yard test of manhood last year and Donte Calcoate got ran over for the TD. EWU still made UM earn that last stop, which they didnt...Taiwan Jones dropped an easy 1st down. Point is UM didnt dominate, they barely won, WITH HAUCK, at HOME. If you teddy bear fans honestly think UM can beat EWU in Cheney, on the RED turf, in front of a record number of RED Eagle fans (10-14k at least), and with a green HC and a brand new system... You're living in 'fairytale-land'.

Last time in Cheney; 2008, with Nichols, 19-3 Montana. Never close. Where were all those points? Unlike EWU, Montana has a D. And we have the same QB and RB as last year. If there are 10-14 M in the stands, at least half will be Montana fans in Washington/Grizzly Stadium West, as always. Recall, you average 5366. It's over 500 miles for me, but I'll be there.

I remember Alexis Alexander running in from about 35 yards out and fumbling at the goal line on the first drive. We moved the ball but had several costly turnovers in that game that led to our scoring only 3 points. Hardly a dominating defense by the Griz.

Well you have one of those memory sets that a few EWU fans have so I forgive you. You guys didn't do bad #'s wise because you had 315 yds. of offense but you only got close enough to score 3 points, that's pretty good defense no matter how you look at it. Considering that it was exactly the kind of defense we ran at the time I would call it real successful.

How many offensive highlights you see in this video? I don't see a whole bunch.

it's delightful that you bring up Alexandar's miscues as if they were not part of the game. Or the turnovers for that matter... ...awesome stuff...really. You guys were in the red zone one timeand got your 3 points off that. Also you say you had several costly turnovers but there were no interceptions and the one fumble you alluded to. That's several costly turnovers in your book? You must be counting tuning the ball over on downs as turnovers. A little note for ya...those are not what is widely known as turnovers.

Brody McNight missing two field goals and then Hauck going for it on the next time we were in scoring position means that it could have been even worse for you guys.

Look eagle1, you are terrible at this shit, that is one thing there is no denying.

I do love your take it on what happened though. It's funny as hell.

You scored 3 points
I was thinking of putting that as a reply but then I wanted to go watch the video again and didn't see all the turnovers he talked about which led me to the stat sheet so I figured I'd go a little more in depth with it. :D

i will do what I always do BF and say congratulations. We don't lose often but when we do we are good at that too. A loss to EWU would not have nearly the impact of a loss in the playoffs or the NC game. You can make it out to be a big deal in your mind if you please but it wouldn't be to most of us.

I wouldn't try and make a bunch of excuses like I've seen a lot of BSC posters (not you) do from other teams as to why it happened and how it was because of the refs, the bad breaks, and all that other bullshit.

I have said that the game in Cheney is one that we would have a good chance of losing considering a lot of the things that you have posted as reasons. Until proven otherwise though the Griz are the swinging dicks in the conference.

Granted we only scored 3 points but had 315 total yards of offense that is hardly dominating defensive by the Griz. Do you disagree? You guys are bunch of retards!!!

315 yds. and you only got inside the redzone once. The yards are completely fucking meaningless unless you get points. Got it retard?

9 or EWU's 11 drives ended with a punt, turned over on downs, or the fact that our D Line blew you up in your own endzone.

8 or EWU's 11 drives ended on your side of the field.

THE CLOSEST EWU got to the endzone the TWO other times the crossed to our side of the field was the 30 yd. line. The other time the Griz let EWU 7 yds. inside of our territory.

In other words idiot...get all the yards you want but you ain't doing it on OUR side of YOUR OWN field.
