They keep saying that JMU has a chip on their shoulder. But honestly the real team with a chip is Weber. They had one of the hardest SoS' and they didnt even get a seed despite being undefeated. I watched the reaction of the Weber players and you could tell they were pissed. I hope they use this as motivation.

They also screwed up with a projected 2nd round matchup of #1 SDSU vs #5 Weber State. The Weber St/SIU winner should have matched up with the JSU/Davidson winner.

Yeah, Fraudsonville St getting a seed over Weber is BS..

JMU had a weaker schedule, and I heard they were afraid to play SIU.

IMO, there were 7 legitimate at-large contenders vying for 6 spots. It looks like ETSU was the odd team out.

On my top-25, I put ETSU ahead of SIU. The next three would've been Austin Peay, SELU, and Samford, but ETSU/SIU both had clearly better resumes than those three IMO.

I have said before that I have a really hard time getting excited for spring football, but I am excited that the local kid, Henderson, seems have developed into a solid quarterback for the Hens. Makes me more excited for the fall.

Watch the selection show again. ETSU, Murray St, Selu and Samford were the last 4 out.

I didn't watch the selection show. I just listed what my next 4 would've been.

Also, I'm kinda confused as to why they had Murray ahead of Austin Peay.

Yeah, this was the biggest surprise to most people, JSU getting the 4th seed.

I saw the JMU coach whining about not being the autobid from the CAA and getting a 3 seed. He needs to talk to the CAA about the schedule or play a better non-conference schedule than Robert Morris and Morehead St.

JSU didn't play any OOC games this spring. Counting games from the fall is just stoopid. So much shit going on. Their win over FIU was about as impressive as either wins over RMU or Morehead. FIU was missing 24 players in that game. The Committee and poll voters are the laziest bunch of idiots on the planet. JSU's loss to Peay should have knocked them out of a seed without question.

1. Weber should have had a seed.

2. SIU?!? Are you kidding me? I would have gone for Murray State first....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Otherwise, they did a decent job. 5 teams from the MVFC is unusual, but no one else really played enough games to complete with SIU's resume.

Based on what wins to overcome their two losses? The OVC stinks. :coffee:

Weber should have had a seed.

It was close, Murray was the 2nd team out.

SIU lost to 3 teams that tied for the MVFC title and defeated NDSU and SELU (#2 in the Southland)
Murray lost to JSU and Austin Peay, 1 good loss, 1 bad loss, no good wins
