Iowa State may go after a Brands of its own (Wrestling)

Sources close to the situation told The Courier Tuesday night that Iowa assistant wrestling coach Terry Brands has been contacted by Iowa State officials about the Cyclones' vacant head wrestling coach position.
If hired, Brands would replace Cael Sanderson, who was introduced as Penn State's head coach Monday.
Brands just finished his first season as an assistant for his brother Tom at Iowa. He rejoined the Hawkeyes after a three-year stint as USA Wrestling's national freestyle resident coach in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Prior to that, he was the head coach at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga for three seasons (2002-05), an assistant at Montana State-Northern (2001-02), an assistant at Nebraska (2000-01) and an assistant at Iowa (1992-2000).
