Big day for the conference today. JMU and Troy in particular, have a chance to beat a better known program.

Congrats to Air Force. They were the better team, and whipped JMU at the LOS.

Cignetti leaves JMU with a skeleton crew (only 4 assistants). So the JMU interim HC had to cobble together a staff of the remaining, some grad assistants, and some other random coaches. 5 players who played the last game vs CCU (4 starters + a former starter, 3 defensive) didn’t play in the bowl game. Missing defensive coaches and players trying to defend an offense they hadn’t seen in years and got whipped.

Before the bowl game 2 players had already committed to IU. Then it comes out today that Cignetti taking 7 more JMU players to IU (9 total). Basically most of the best players/all conference. So of 17 non seniors in the starting 22, have only 8 returning as of today, and 2 of those are in the portal). + Cignetti flipped 5 of JMU’s top HS recruits. Cignetti did great things for JMU football, and then went full scorched earth on his way out the door. Fuck him. Neither of JMU’s prior 2 HC who got hired away by G5 when JMU was FCS did this (Each of them might have taken 1 player).
