2022 NCAA D-I Softball Tournament

Post by SuperHornet »

The formatting is a bit complicated because the Regionals are double-elimination in four-team pods, Super-Regionals are a one-on-one best-of-3 affair, and then the College World Series (what the hoops tournament would call the Elite Eight) returns to two four-team groups in double-elimination, with the last two teams standing in a best-of-three series for all the marbles. Finals
Best-of-3 Series

Game 1: 1 Oklahoma d. Texas 16-1 g WED 08 JUN
Game 2: 1 Oklahoma d. Texas 10-5 THU 09 JUN

Texas went down swinging, though. Three-run shot in the last of the 7th, though it took replay to get it. (It hit the stripe at the top of the fence, and was ruled a double on the field.)
