CFP Could be Decided By Forfeit?!?

Post by SuperHornet »

If a team can't play the semifinal, they will forfeit. If BOTH teams in one semifinal can't play, the winner of the other semifinal will win the Championship by default. If THREE teams can't play on NYE, the one team to show up will win the Championship by default. As for the Final: they will delay it as late as 14 JAN if one of the two finalists have COVID issues.

I can imagine the rancor if Cincinnati wins the Championship by forfeit....

Wow....

The NCAA I am sure will find a way to break its own rules

Does the NCAA and the folks running the CFP even talk to each other???
