I went with the rivalry game; given the state of affairs in Nebraska right now (they're calling for Scott Frost's head), there's no other reason to choose this game. The others on this list are worthless, but there probably aren't many better given that a lot of FBS teams are risking the scalp or they're G5 teams of no reputation....

I went Auburn/Penn State because it will show us where two real B1G and SEC contenders sit
Fresno State vs UCLA I actually think will be pretty good and will show us if the Bulldogs are for real

I took Bama-Fla because it is at The Swamp.

Yup, an SEC team leaving the Southeast to play an on-campus game as a true road game against anyone is almost unheard of, especially among the better SEC teams. Imagine if Alabama did this from time to time? On the rare times it happens, it has to be the GOTW.

Glad you're not my AD. Would you let Oklahoma bring the Sooner Schooner? USC to bring Traveler? Texas to bring Bevo?

Yes, 89. I would. And I would make double sure our own tradition would trump theirs....

Heck, I've been watching college football religiously my whole life and I think this is the first time I learned about Purdue's drum. If not for Notre Dame saying you can't use the home team tunnel, I don't know if I would've heard about the drum.

Almost never happens Alabama only travels for OOC games to neutral sites. Last REAL OOC game they played was also at Penn State in 2011

Doesn't seem very Christian to deny Purdue their drum. Or are Christian principles suspended for collegiate athletic contests?
And the drum is part of the band. Should bands be restricted? The Purdue equivalent of the Schooner, Traveler, Bevo is the Boilermaker Special locomotive.

Please. Apparently Notre Dame comps the visiting team band for tickets, meaning that the opposing team can bring their band, and often the whole band, to Notre Dame for free (well, game tickets are free, getting there is on them). And the visiting team gets to play on the field. You don't see that a lot at lots of places (remember going to a Penn St/Michigan game and Michigan was only allowed to bring a portion of the band and they paid for their own seats. Heck, UD's band used to go to nova, had to pay for their own seats, and couldn't even perform on the field). Consider a ticket at Notre Dame is comfortably $50/seat, and Purdue brought close to 400 band members, that's a $20k gift to Purdue. Makes not letting the drum in seem like nitpicking.

Makes it seem like ND is partway to behaving in a Christian manner ...
