Nate Montana completed his disappointing college career at D-II West Virginia Wesleyan, where he started nine games, threw for over 400 yards three times, and was named All-WVIAC honorable mention. After wearing Dad's primary pro number at Notre Dame, he reverted to Dad's college number (3) at WVWC. The problem was that the team finished 3-8, and there were games where Nate was mysteriously missing. (That is, there was no word on if he were injured or suspended.) He is eligible for the 2013 NFL draft, but he will likely go undrafted and unsigned.

The REAL news here is the signing of brother Nick Montana at Tulane. He gets a second chance at FBS ball after giving up on Washington to go to Mt. San Antonio College (a SoCal JC). It looks like Nick is the true heir to the Montana QB gene. He was named first team SoCal Football Association following an 11-1 season, not losing until Bakersfield College took them out in the SoCal championship game. Mt. SAC scored over 50 points three times, threw for over 2600 yards, and had a 2-1 TD to INT ratio, despite being sacked 24 times.

So, IF a second-generation Montana makes it in the Show, it will most likely be Nick IF he pans out at Tulane. As Griz fans suggested many times in the last couple of years, Nate is most likely done unless he goes into coaching.

I remember, seeing both of them on ESPN being coached by ,QB guru Steve Clarkson thought both would be NFL studs.Now one is a alcoholic the other is trying to revive a promising career.Funny thing Nick at 6-5 230 was the one that had the size that dear old dad wished he would have had in playing days.
