This was WKU's best chance to make a bowl and didn't, I'm very disappointed.

I just hope that WKU doesn't regress next year especially since the Toppers have the best RB that no one will get to see is graduating. That's their loss.

Why does Michigan get a BCS bowl bid over Michigan State?

Because Michigan is in the top 14 of the BCS & Sparty isn't. It also helps that they have a star player & will bring a ton of fans.

Same reason VT got in over K-State, star power and fans. That's ALL the BCS cares about.

I don't recall so many 6-6 teams in the past years. How about Illinois? Losers of 6 in a row. Four of their six wins were OOC (ArkSt, South Dakota St, Arizona St, Western Michigan). They face 6-7 UCLA who got in because USC was ineligible.

Being just an obnoixious college football fan I'm sure other people will have higher #'s but there are 12 bowl games this year I just have zero interest in. Never remember a number that high.

I know of a 7 - 5 team didn't get picked

0-4 OOC (conf was 9-24 vs I-A) hurt.

At least WKU finished 2nd in the conference, if they went undefeated then they would have gone bowling end of story. They has no choice but to invite the Toppers. What infuriates me is the fact that WKU beat Louisiana-Lafayette and Florida International on the way to getting a winning record. I wish that performance outweighs sentimentality when it comes to invitations. At least the Sun Belt got 3 teams bowling this season.
Fact: WKU is the only team with a winning record that didn't get an invite. Ball State also didn't get an invite but was bowl eligible at 6 - 6. I hate UCLA for all of my days (6 - 7) because they went to the Pac-12 championship game SMFH.

It's all Reggie Bush's fault...
c'mon Hillhound, you know the score... If you were in charge of a Bowl game - who do you take? UCLA - a marquee name on a team that wasn't terribly good - or a decent team in Western Kentucky? Which one has even a shred of a chance at drawing a casual fan?

I hope Boise State absolutely destroys whoever they're playing in whatever bowl they're in - I hope they score 7 TDs in the first half and then another 8 in the 2nd - I hope they give their coach the Gatorade bath at the end of the first half...

Heck, I can only count 10 I have any interest in and that includes Temple (local interest). Bowl games are for gamblers - just things to bet on. How else do you explain SDSU/La-Lafayette?

One's that I'd watch at least a little bit of...
Boise St/Arizona St - Want to see if BSU can light them up
Cal/Texas - Two big names that I don't find offensive
Florida St/Notre Dame - Two of the most hated teams around, a must see
Baylor/Washington - Love to see RG3 play
Oklahoma/Iowa - I want to see if OU phones it in as badly as I think they will
Virginia/Auburn - Wahoo-Wah!
Houston/Penn St - Great QB vs Pedo U
Michigan St/Georgia - Easily what should be one of the best match-ups
Nebraska/South Carolina - Have family at/from USC
Wisconsin/Oregon - No brainer
Stanford/Oklahoma St - 100% no brainer
Michigan/Virginia Tech - Winged helmets vs the pre-Vet students
Kansas St/Arkansas - Should be a very entertaining game
LSU/Alabama - Will watch for food

I can only count 8, and that includes Temple, local interest also. The bowls mostly suck.

The only reason to watch the GoDaddy.com Bowl is Danica Patrick. That's it.
There are two bowls on my birthday, BOTH of which are complete suckage. In fact as far as I'm concerned, from Bowl One until the bogus "title" game (AKA "The Fix"), the only game worth watching at all is the one 07 JAN in Frisco, TX....

You are all wrong about UCLA. They didn't get invited, they got a bowl waiver from the NCAA at UCLA's request.
It's not WKU's fault they didn't get a bowl. It's not the NCAA's fault either. They don't select bowls. It's the bowl selector's fault for deciding that WKU wasn't appealing enough- take it up with them.
