Good hire for the Cougs - first time anyone has heard from them in a lot of years...

Should be good for the conference too.

Somewhere Craig James is very angry - the douchebag.

Craig James killed 5 hookers while at SMU (allegedly).

Also: I don't think I can put into words how excited I am for this hire.

Craig James is a douche bag of epic proportions. How he remains employed at ESPN when most of America hates him I will never understand. :ohno:

The same could be said of Jim Gray and his Pearl Harbor interview tactics.

:ohno:

A reason that our AD opted to hire Leach is because our fan base needed a boost, lots of apathy had set in around Pullman and I don't think anyone had been excited about WSU football since the early 2000s. After announcing his hiring yesterday WSU sold 750 new (i.e. not people renewing) season tickets, including 100 club level seats that were $2000 each (so $200,000 in the club seats alone in one day). Those numbers might not seem huge to some people, but considering the sad state of WSU football prior to this hire it is gigantic.

They may not win conference titles - but the one thing Leach does do, no matter what, is put entertaining football on the field. In that respect - it's a can't miss hire.

Great hire for WSU - makes them relevant in the Pac-12 again.

My 3 least favorite people on ESPN (in no specific order):

-Skip Bayless
-Craig James
-Stephen A. Smith

Super hire for WSU - if it's two things Leach doesn, it's win football games and put an entertaining product on the field. And he works best in isolated locales as well and Spokane's very much like Lubbock in that regard.

And yes, Craig James is one of the biggest douches in all of sports.

Eh, close enough. Who knew there were so many towns in that part of Washington state? Besides, Montana guys tell us all the time that driving several hours in the West to get anywhere is considered right next door. In that regard, Pullman is just a suburb of Spokane.
