The Citadel also has more ACC wins than Syracuse

And we’re 2-1 against the Coots in the last 3 meetings

Maybe WE should join the Sun Belt

Appalachian State won that game in spite of getting 11 first downs to South Carolina's 22 and getting out gained by 346 to 202 in total yards. Yes a win is a win but don't get carried away. A team of App State's caliber would be a cellar dweller in any Power 5 league.
 Yeah, it must suck for Georgia!

GSU vs GSU today. Both appear bowl bound, so I guess this is for where. And who the Real GSU is.

By GSU. I'm guessing Southern, or you would never show up. ;)

There's the Big South. They could use a "power house."

Nah! New Orleans most likely.

Nice start to the transition though. Six seasons and all Apps records would make them bowl eligible. In the five bowl eligible seasons there have been 4 (soon 5) bowl trips. Currently App has won its first 4 bowl games (a first). I guess we'll know more after December 21st. In six seasons App has won outright or shared 4 conference championships, including winning the first two conference championship games. Now if we could only beat Georgia Southern. Go App!

So let me get this straight. You win the Sun Belt, are ranked in the top 25, and get a second place CUSA team? :ohno: :ohno:

One goddamn year. :ohno:

Need to rename "The Rock" to "The Stepping Stone".

If they had better hookers and blow in Boone, they wouldn’t have this problem.

I heard rumors but didn't believe them. Congratulations to Drinkwitz , he did well for the year we had him in Boone. I'm kind of surprised though, because all he has really shown is that he can win with someone else's players. Whether he can recruit remains to be seen.

Same honest question for you App fans... are you happy in I-A? About as good a year as you could have and a trip to NO to play UAB is the payout. I don't know if I'd be happy.

I'm happy to win, whatever the level. If we were D-3 and competitive at that level, I'd be happy.

I agree that the bowl opponent this year doesn't appear to be the challenge I was hoping for though. At least match the CUSA and Sun Belt champs, or give us a crack at an AAC team.

I'm happy. Every App fan I know is happy. And, following the G5 race this year was a lot of fun. Came up one game short. :thumb:
