Another week, another on-camera breakdown by a Republican governor: In a rambling, borderline bughouse decoupage of sports metaphors and intimations that the forces of darkness were running her out of public life, Sarah Palin announced Friday that she had decided to step down as Alaska's governor, and would be leaving office on July 26.

"McCain could not have picked a better VP candidate than Sarah Palin" Tman and Azgrizfan a few months in 2008 right before the McCain campaign imploded, because of Sarah Palin.

The gift that keeps on giving!

 T-man is ready for his own greatest hits thread.

My guess is that Palin's bailing is related the taxpayers of Alaska paying for things like travel and tickets for the governor and family to Yankee games and tractor pulls.

No. But three and a half years before said election is extreme and shows poorly

If she were running for President she wouldn't resign because Governor of Alaska is about the easiest gig going for looking like a Presidential candidate, entailing little more than making sure the oil money gets mailed to the rugged individuals on time.
