Go Magyar!

This is the place CPAC has recently hosted two conventions at. Orban is the poster boy for how to entrench authoritarian control. Vance was stumping for him this week.

Why are we backing the bad guys?

Does MAQA not see the hypocrisy between trump and Just Dance's outright endorsement of orban and promise of economic benefits and their allegations that Ukraine and the EU are somehow interfering in the Hungarian election?

Just Dance was actually in Budapest endorsing orban while pushing the allegations. Does the boy have no scruples or shame?

Good for CPAC. Good for Trump. Good for Hungary. The only EU & NATO member who stood up to the 3rd world, mostly Muslim, migrant hordes of the last decade but mostly not letting them in. And for those who get in, they don‘t stay, because Hungary doesn‘t give them shit, unlike Western Europe that not only lets the migrant hordes in, bet avails them to their massive social safety nets. Orban is keeping Hungarian. Just like Western Europe should have each done in their respective countries. Low birth rates among the natives + allowing in mostly Muslim migrant hordes = the Islamifcation of Europe. Conquered without firing a shot.
Let in the 3rd world, become the 3rd world.

Orbán concedes defeat in Hungarian election
Viktor Orbán, Hungary’s pro-Russian prime minister, has conceded defeat in Europe’s most consequential election this year.

Peter Magyar, the 45-year-old leader of the centre-Right Tisza party, who has promised to repair relations with the EU and Nato, will end Mr Orbán’s 16 years of rule.

On Sunday, Mr Orbán, the leader of the hard-Right Fidesz party, said: “The result is clear. I congratulated Tisza, but we will never give up.”
The people of Hungary have chosen:
  • To align themselves with Europe rather than russia.
  • Economic prosperity over racial purity.
  • Democracy and freedom over authoritarianism.
  • The future over the past.

Wrong. Still going to be the same policies minus (maybe) the corruption. And not wanting to be overrun by 3rd world migrants doesn‘t = wanting racial purity.

before 2035. On every substantive question that defines the European left-right divide, Magyar sits exactly where Orbán sits.

What he promises to change is governance, not ideology. Anti-corruption reforms, rule of law, meritocratic appointments, unlocking frozen EU funds. A voter who backed Orbán for border security and national sovereignty can vote for Magyar without abandoning a single conviction. The only thing that voter has to abandon is tolerance for theft.

Orbán did not lose the argument. He lost the trust.

Well if it isn't all unicorns and rainbows for MAQA, putin, etc. :D

I don't think Maygar is going to be putin's lackey like orban was. Hungary's focus and priorities will shift toward Europe and they won't continue to be russia's reliable veto on EU policies that it doesn't like.

I believe Maygar is planning to wean Hungary off of russian energy by 2035. Didn't he call the cooperation agreements that orban signed with russia an "outright betrayal" and a threat to Hungary's national interests?

Hungary's economy has done worse than neighboring economies since orban instituted his illiberal democratic approach. And don't give me some BS about how they're doing about the same, Hungary was ahead of the pack before orban's illiberal democracy, now they're fighting to keep up with Poland. That's what happens when you turn your back on your allies and embrace authoritarians.

I expect Maygar's Hungary to be more like Poland then Slovakia.

When will MAQA abandon it's tolerance for corruption and theft?

Why did Trump and JD give a shit then? If he is just Orban without the corruption, was it the corruption they were so supportive of?

Despite ignoring it, corruption must be important to a few. Especially former Soviet block states.

It’s importance needs to be elevated here.

Maybe come up with some substantive posts (rather than bullshit and ad hominem attacks). You haven't done that in a long, long time.

 Says the guy who's only retort is to change names on a persons post.

This thread is uninformative, except for informing others of how boring your posts can be, then it is informative.

That's offensive, I've got a more expansive schtick than that. And this is a sports message board, where trash talking is normal. Can't say I'm surprised that the fvck your feelings crowd gets their panties in a bunch over the most innocuous things though. :D

On this thread alone, I've posted information (links and my own opinons) of substance.

You've rarely do that anymore. You use ad hominem attacks or trite bullshit to try and but, but, but, deflection attention away from posts that are negative about and/or mock trump. You and CH are peas in a pod in that regard. Must be part of the instructions you get on the MAQA yahoo echo chambers.

Except Hungary elected a right wing (maybe not as right wing as Orban). Hungary isn‘t going to turn into Scandanavia.

So? I’d gladly take a democracy believing, anti corruption center right leader over an authoritarian any day. Then again I support the ideas that truly made this country great rather than the leader. :coffee:

Don’t forget, their center right is at worst equivalent to conservative Dem over here.
