Comparing wages to productivity does not prove wage stagnation. The reasons for the productivity/pay gap aren't that simple.

Do you agree that the compensation line levels off?

Oh you can do a deeper dive if you’d like and of course there’s more to it. It’s economics.
Still…wages to productivity paints a solid picture. Not to mention what Skelly points out ^.

To Jelly, yes compensation increases have leveled off.
Myth Busting: The Productivity–Pay Gap (2022)
Automation, globalization, etc. all have played and will continue to play a role.
It isn't just evil capitalists screwing over their workers. If I get more productivity from automation, I'm going to invest in automation, not higher wages.

Yep. It’s also those greedy workers who refuse to go back to the mines.UNI88 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 11:11 amTo Jelly, yes compensation increases have leveled off.

Productivity is irrelevant to this. What matters is wages vs inflation..

Anyone who is working in a salt mine like environment should look in the mirror and ask themselves what do I want and how can I get it. Find a new job, update your skills, move to a place with more opportunities. Waiting for the government to make your life better is a fool's errand.kalm wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 11:45 amYep. Agreed. The greedy government is owned by the greedy capitalists. No relief expected. Back to the mines!
