Proof of wage stagnation?
This is fairly well known.

Comparing wages to productivity does not prove wage stagnation. The reasons for the productivity/pay gap aren't that simple.

Do you agree that the compensation line levels off?

Oh you can do a deeper dive if you’d like and of course there’s more to it. It’s economics.

Still…wages to productivity paints a solid picture. Not to mention what Skelly points out ^.

To Jelly, yes compensation increases have leveled off.

Myth Busting: The Productivity–Pay Gap (2022)

Automation, globalization, etc. all have played and will continue to play a role.

It isn't just evil capitalists screwing over their workers. If I get more productivity from automation, I'm going to invest in automation, not higher wages.

Yep. It’s also those greedy workers who refuse to go back to the mines.

Productivity is irrelevant to this. What matters is wages vs inflation..

Anyone who is working in a salt mine like environment should look in the mirror and ask themselves what do I want and how can I get it. Find a new job, update your skills, move to a place with more opportunities. Waiting for the government to make your life better is a fool's errand.

Agreed. The greedy government is owned by the greedy capitalists. No relief expected. Back to the mines!
