And now you just appealed to my natural inclination to tell authority figures to go pound sand and doing something anatomically impossible.

So we might have reached an impasse.
Lol
Congratulations, you have won my good deed for the day. Normally I would tell you to Google it (as I gave you enough clues to find the article), but I am feeling magnanimous this morning.
Some major advertisers including Dyson, Mazda, Forbes and PBS Kids have suspended their marketing campaigns or removed their ads from parts of Twitter because their promotions appeared alongside tweets soliciting child pornography, the companies told Reuters.

DIRECTV and Thoughtworks also told Reuters late on Wednesday they have paused their advertising on Twitter.

Brands ranging from Walt Disney Co (DIS.N), NBCUniversal (CMCSA.O) and Coca-Cola Co (KO.N) to a children's hospital were among more than 30 advertisers that appeared on the profile pages of Twitter accounts peddling links to the exploitative material, according to a Reuters review of accounts identified in new research about child sex abuse online from cybersecurity group Ghost Data.

TWSS :D

All of Social Media faces this problem and it is more how so they handle the situation. Of the big names (Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, Google, etc), Twitter has spent less on policing its own and actually doing something about it (like the article mentions) than the other companies.

I trust they will get it fixed eventually and while I do not expect any SM company to be perfect, I do expect them to keep on top of things (as would any business that does advertising on a site). Twitter by all accounts was run incredibly inefficient and haphazardly. From reading some financial articles, the board and President were not fully on the up and up when it came to financial reporting.

May have been a lapse Catholic - we Catholics don't bother with actually reading the Bible.

I've found reading the Old Testament gives you the best preparation for the Bible Categories on Jeopardy. :thumb:

That it does. I aced the last one I watched. Surprised myself that I remembered half the questions.

Though there is a few books that are rough reading. Genealogies are boring in list format.

He's half right at best. People are looking for someone to follow. Some people look to technology leaders like Jobs, Musk, etc. while others look to government leaders like Obama, Bernie, etc. His bias causes him to focus on conservative idols.

Did you hear what he said about the consolidation of power? That applies to the federal government as well.

Hey, if you think about, though, look at all the other tech companies (Meta, Amazon, etc) who are in the process of laying off tens of thousands of tech workers right now at the same time Elon is blowing up his own company. I'll give him this - he's found a way to avoid having to pay these departing employees severance or unemployment by getting them to leave of their own accord.

If he isn't including Obama when discussing cults of personality then he isn't completely right.

I consider anything that Rick Wilson tweets with some skepticism.

All of these employees are getting 3+ months 100% pay severance
