I am shocked Cotton! J6 committee doesn't bother to review all data and then simply deleted it anyway.

All they did was sit there and let Trump's employees tell their story. Its all a matter of public record - I invite you to read it and weep.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 4:25 pm I am shocked Cotton! J6 committee doesn't bother to review all data and then simply deleted it anyway.

For sure. That version of the events I'm sure was memorialized. I'd like to see all the information, but apparently if it didn't fit the narrative, it was deleted.houndawg wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 6:35 pmAll they did was sit there and let Trump's employees tell their story. Fake news! The government saves and stores documents, it's one of the things they're good at.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 2:01 pmFor sure. Me too - ever since those SS agents crawfished on taking the stand and contradicting what Hope Hicks said she was told about Trump lunging at his driver during the coup attempt.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 2:01 pmFor sure. Yes! Trump ragdolled those SS guys and then overtook the driver even though his hands were too small to grab the steering wheel. He fought savagely, but was unable to lead his troops in battle

Re: January 6 - How much do you care?
Is there anyone still professing it was peaceful? I get the tongue in cheek idea saying it was mostly peaceful, mocking the msm approach to violent riots during 2020 for civil rights, but from the moment it started at the Capitol there's no mistaking that it wasn't peaceful. I mean, we had full TV coverage from almost every angle as it happened.kalm wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 7:53 am It was just a peaceful protest.

Again, thankful the 398 violent ones forgot to come with weapons.

No wonder Trump overpowered the secret service to commandeer control of the Beast and return to lead his gunless troops.kalm wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 7:53 am It was just a peaceful protest.

You do realize just as the Republicans were ready to introduce the need for discussions, they cleared out the representatives due to the "insurrection".
What was the value in that? It created an emergency declaration by Pelosi that allowed them to skip those objections when they reconvened and preventing any objections from being discussed or to create any standing for future discussions. Very interesting timing and Trump really screwed himself there.

They stay in power by keeping the 81 million stupid so yep that’s the goalPwns wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 11:14 am I care that several officers and people died, and I wish the conversations were about that instead of the blithering dreck about existential threats to democracy. You have to be stupid or a pandering politician to think Trump could stay in power just by decree or getting a mob of several thousand people riled up.

The letter by Rep. Buck is a good read. He's forgotten more about the Constitution and criminal justice then marge is likely to ever know.

Re: January 6 - How much do you care?
From Rodney’s forthcoming book.
“Law enforcement has been tracking online chatter among right-wing extremists who appear to be planning something bad on the day of Donald Trump’s upcoming rally in Washington, D.C. The president has been telling them the election was stolen; now they’re coming to steal it back.
“There’s talk of gun smuggling, of bombs and arson, of targeting the traitors in Congress who are responsible for this travesty. Romney’s name has been popping up in some frightening corners of the internet, which is why King needed to talk to him. He isn’t sure Romney will be safe.”
(Alarmed, Romney reached out to Mitch McConnell with a text message:)
“In case you have not heard this, I just got a call from Angus King, who said that he had spoken with a senior official at the Pentagon who reports that they are seeing very disturbing social media traffic regarding the protests planned on the 6th.
“There are calls to burn down your home, Mitch; to smuggle guns into DC, and to storm the Capitol. I hope that sufficient security plans are in place, but I am concerned that the instigator—the President—is the one who commands the reinforcements the DC and Capitol police might require.”
