On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about January 6th? 10 being it was as bad as Pearl Harbor and 9/11. 1 if you don't give a damn.

I’m at about a 4 right now, but that is less because I believe that the QAnon Shaman could have delivered us another 4 years of Trump by seizing the Mighty Gavel of Power +3 from the level 42 Bitch Queen of Sanfrancomium, and more because the GOP has its own set of nuts and cunts that it needs to push out.

The Democratic Party lost its monopoly on political violence on 6 Jan and that’s a monopoly I am happy with them keeping.

I care that several officers and people died, and I wish the conversations were about that instead of the blithering dreck about existential threats to democracy. You have to be stupid or a pandering politician to think Trump could stay in power just by decree or getting a mob of several thousand people riled up.

I'm at a 3. It was serious and shouldn't be rationalized or excused away b/c BLM and blah blah blah.

However, comparing it to Pearl Harbor or 9/11 is just an asinine analogy.

 I was between a 3 & 4 but CID's post made sense so I went with 4.

Only 1 person died due to violence on 1/6- Ashli Babbitt. One officer later died of natural causes (according to the coroner).

Agreed.

Who cares about "0", where's the "Pee in the Butt" option? No CS poll is complete without it!

I went 3. It's a considerable event that still has a lot of unanswered questions around it (releasing all the tape would answer most of those questions), but it's not the end of democracy the msm wants us to believe.

The end of our Republic has been postponed until the next Republican President is inaugurated*.

If that cop hadn't shot the AF vet, how "considerable" would you consider the event then? Because they sure as hell didn't consider the occupation of AOC's office for 10 days an "insurrection" and this thing was over in about 4 hours.

You mean that non-violent sit in protest that didn't result in damage, injury and death?

The same as any other "protests" that entered government buildings and broke shit...so a 1.

So, the death (by excessive use of force by a capitol policeman, mind you) is what makes it an "insurrection"? Not the illegal entry, occupation or protestation of?

And sure there was no damage. AOC fucking INVITED THEM IN.

I'm doing neither. Just a comparison between 2 wildly different events. The BLM riots would be a closer example.

She was attempting to enter a government building by force during a riot. She fucked around and found out.

You're trying to belittle the other non-sanctioned events by use of the Capitol Riot...which is exactly what you said shouldn't be done. :tothehand:
