Dr. Oz Running for Senate...
...in PA.
He's apparently running as a MAGA Republican. Liberal Democrats are crying foul. "He's gone over to the Dark Side!" says the whacko Joy Behar.

I live in PA so I'll get to weigh in on this one next year. I did ask my wife, since I don't follow Dr. Oz and only remember him vaguely as being a favorite of the Oprah crowd. Apparently his penchant for homeopathic medicine started to get him criticism, and then his interaction with Trump just made him toxic to the Democratic side. I don't think he'll be interviewed by Oprah any time soon now.SuperHornet wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 11:21 am ...in PA.

PA Senate is certainly up for grabs. Oz might become the GOP candidate - the Trump candidate withdrew last week and the only other one of note is Barto (or Bartos, don't actually know for certain), but he's a fire-breathing ex-mayor or something like that from God's country in PA. The likely Democratic guy is Fetterman, currently the Lt Gov (although running with any ties to current Gov Wolf could be troublesome, Wolf's popularity waned during COVID and he had his own nursing home fiasco). Fetterman is a character as well, was a small time mayor prior to this. Whoever wins will certainly look like a crazed figure compared to the other Senator, Casey, who is pretty much invisible and a mute. Heck, I'm not even sure Casey is still alive as you almost never hear from him or about anything he does.

When you add “the inside “ I have to think Joy wins hands down in a landslide.
Others may surpass her ugliness on one side or the other, but her ugliness is much more complete. She’s the total package in ugly.

GOP: Celebrities should just entertain, not preach or talk politics
Also GOP: Let's run every far right celebrity (even when mentally ill) cause the dumb masses will vote for them!!

Also,
Dems: All of our celebrities are bright lights, and unquestionable when it comes to anything they say or think. We love them and they love us!
Also Dems: Except for celebrities that align with the GOP or ideas/issues that can be considered conservative or right of center. Those celebs are either mentally ill or just downright evil.

IIRC, Casey is a rare pro-life Democrat. Otherwise, he’s about as noteworthy as Delaware’s eternal empty suit, Tom Carper.GannonFan wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 11:40 amI live in PA so I'll get to weigh in on this one next year. I don’t think Dr. Oz will stay the course. People are already raising questions about his slender contacts with the state, and he appeals to the Seattle Griz constituency on COVID. Oz is the brother-in-law of one of Pete duPont’s sons.

In the right lighting she could be mistaken for David Lee Roth
