Want to post like Houndy? Just pick a variation of one or more of the following responses and post something short, glib and irrelevant:
- It's been over since Citizens United.
- China will be our masters.
- Random, negative reference involving cops.

Personally - anyone that willingly puts themselves into a divisive riot that exists because of race MIGHT not be the sharpest tool in the shed. I'm all for people going above and beyond (after all - I did that last week after watching a car leave I85 and literally fly off the embankment. As soon as the first responders showed up, I backed away. ) but you have to be smart about it.

Holy fucking shit.
This video is insane. NBC had the courthouse staked out, so they could follow jurors. Just listen to the gal say, "um" over and over. She was put in the spot and couldn't answer.
Shameful.

Possible if (A) someone had cocked the hammer before he picked it up, and (B) there was a catastrophic mechanical failure within the weapon at the exact moment he pointed it at the woman who was killed…
(B) above will be easy to detect by an expert, and you know everyone involved with this will have their own expert…without visual evidence, (A) will be his word…

And the prosecutor was about as smart as Barney Fife. The judge knew 5 minutes into the trial they shouldn’t have even BEEN in trial.

Re: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
Perhaps he doesn't identify anymore with the person that fired the gun.
We have to keep in mind they aren't using a stock gun from Cabela's.
https://thereload.com/analysis-yes-alec ... e-trigger/In Baldwin’s case, though, the claim is at least somewhat more believable. That’s because the gun involved is more prone to firing without the trigger being pulled. And, even though it’s a modern replica of an antique design, it’s possible it did not include modern safety devices.
That article goes through a couple scenarios as to how the gun could've fired w/o pulling the trigger, like already having the trigger depressed when you pull the hammer back.

Pietta and Uberti are 2 Italian gunmakers that make replicas of the 1873 Colt SAA (single action army) Peacemaker, the most famous handgun of the old west. Earlier this year I bought a Uberti 1873 Cattleman II in 45 LC, imported & tuned up by Taylors. It has a transfer bar. A modern Colt SAA is better quality and more historically accurate, but would have cost 3x as much. Its not like I get dressed up like a Cowboy and do 3 Gun Comps, I just had never shot, much less owned, a SA revolver before, only DA..Just got it to shoot at the range and satisfy the history nerd in me.Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza identified the gun used in the shooting as a modern Pietta replica of a single-action army revolver….
….Those guns can be bought either with a transfer bar that makes it impossible for the firing pin to strike the primer unless the trigger is pulled or without one.
As far as the Pietta, as far as I can find, their 1873 SAA, just like Uberti, have had transfer bars for a while.
http://www.ktgunsmith.com/colt_clone.htmPietta made safety and reliability improvements to the old 1873 pattern by using a transfer bar and coil spring and plunger for the hand.
I’m thinking its BS that he didn‘t pull the trigger..

“I cock the gun. I go, ‘Can you see that? Can you see that? Can you see that?’” Baldwin told ABC. “And then I let go of the hammer of the gun, and the gun goes off. I let go of the hammer of the gun, the gun goes off.”

-had it at full cock and pulled the trigger.
-Or depressed the trigger (ie he pulled the trigger) with the weapon uncocked (so it didn’t fire at that point) and kept the trigger depressed before pulling the hammer back and letting it go, for it to go boom.

I had the same thought - that's the only way, aside from a defect, that could cause the gun to fire.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 7:59 amHe left off the part “I had the trigger depressed” before the letting go of the hammer..Its more like he’s flat out out lying than semantocs. Either he:

Again..even if he had done that - why was a live round in the gun?!

Re: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
Remember the old cowboy westerns when they would ‘fan’ their revolvers? They just kept the trigger depressed and rapidly pulled back on the hammer. But the trigger had to be depressed ie pulled.Ibanez wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 8:01 amI had the same thought - that's the only way, aside from a defect, that could cause the gun to fire.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 7:59 am
