Well, this didn't age well.

Where the tweet for this year about how much the cost has gone up?

And someone needs to tell those dumbasses that "BBQ" isn't an event, or a grill, or a verb.
And its Independence Day, not 4th of July.

Lets Go Brandon!

Clearly the rate increases haven’t been even close big enough. The 3 rate hikes totally 1.25? seem to have done nothing to slow down inflation. Next one the Fed needs to do at least a full point. Really should be 1.5.

It should be pretty obvious that in all of Biden's time in government, he never paid attention to what actually worked in a positive manner for our country. Simply cared where his next donor check came from. Very much like when a career politician, like Hillary, says she's been in service to America for 30+ years, but yet can't come up with anything of substance. Uniparty.

Contracted my propane for the winter today. Going to cost me an extra $450 compared to last year or about $90/month. :ohno: I'm fortunate that I can afford to prepay the entire amount so I get a discount. Feel bad for people who can't afford to do that.

Mine's up a lot too. Going to cost me another $600 for the year coming up (I pay over 10 months and that is the discounted plan). Brutal. :ohno:

Well, Biden has been well insulated from the problems of real people for decades now. He's an entrenched DC politician, his knowledge of the real world is limited.

Zero inflation from one month to the next is fine and is nice. What it doesn't erase is the fact that things still cost a heckuva lot more than they did several months ago, and wages haven't come anywhere close to bridging that gap in the meantime. If my next raise isn't 8% or so then I'm behind where I was a year ago. I'm sure Biden will just tell me to buy an electric car or take public transportation. Or maybe the GOP can rally behind Trump and we can have another 4 years of high end drama. What a joy politics has been lately. :ohno:

Fed waited about 8 months too long to start raising rates. Once the inflation horse is out of the barn, it’s tough to reign in.

And what Brandon’s minions fail to realize is that it’s not just 8.3%. That’s on TOP OF the 5+% it was up LAST year, so that’s over 13.5% just since he took office. Yep. Nothing to see here, move along. He’s a fucking genius.

They'll try to do anything to make people not fully appreciate the enormity of the inflation problem. There's a reason why the Fed used to have control of inflation as their number one priority because, as you say, it's extremely difficult to bring down inflation once you let it get out of hand, and often the best way to bring it down is for the economy to go through a painful recession. We're in the less painful recession now and it's not working, so the next year or two doesn't look particularly rosy right now.

There's no getting around the fact that we blew it at the federal level - Biden's administration's new liberal economic theory that there's nothing wrong with a no limit to government spending philosophy coupled with the Fed's amazing dereliction of duty by leaving rates for so low for so long and holding onto a hefty portfolio as well have been historic mistakes that we're paying for now, and will continue to pay for for years to come. There's no way to sugarcoat what a colossal economic mistake this administration has made. :ohno:

People (and the media especially) like to deliberately ignore this fact. When one has a moving baseline, just reporting the number is basically useless without factoring the rest of the story in.

No one has been more consistently wrong in their interpretations than JSO is whenever he talks about economics. He might be the dumbest person I've ever encountered on these boards when it comes to that topic. Probably a nice guy, but as dumb as dirt about economics. And I'm trying not to insult dirt.

Has anyone told conservatives yet that the US isn't the only country on Earth?

hint: global inflation and shortages are not because of one American...
