A) If Israel stops launching missiles and sending forces into Gaza, how likely is it that Hamas stops all attacks in response?

B) If Hamas stops all attacks how likely is it that Israel stops all attacks in response?

C) Neither A or B will happen because Hamas won't stop.

Might not have the specifics, but you get the gist.

So Israel would stop if Hamas did but Hamas won't stop if Israel does. Who's the aggressor again?

AP beclowns itself further by saying they barely escaped casualties when the IDF dropped a Hamas building they had offices in, and then acting like there was no Hamas presence in the building.

As a news source, that raises two questions: 1) How do you not know Hamas was using the proximity of the building to fire rockets while using the civilians as shields, or 2) Why were they complicit in defending Hamas using civilians as shields by not reporting?

Refresher on the influence US evangelicals have on the conflict. Hint...it’s quite influential and has something to do with a goat headed man directing fighter planes to attack. Or something like that.

I say there should be a 2 week cage match between The Palestinians and the IDF no holds barred, to the death. Winner take all.

The AP in Gaza gas been long co-opted by Hamas in Gaza. Of course they didn’t know!

Matti Friedman at The Atlantic has reporting on the media’s issues with objectivity in Gaza going back to 2014.

The building was a Hamas intel hub and AP knew they were there. Hamas’ presence made the building a legitimate, legal military target, and the AP and Al Jazeera have some explaining to do - not the IDF.

It's probably safe to hold my breath waiting for Tlaib to condemn IDF for putting civilians at risk.
I can breath again ...

Biden and The Squad's Tlaib stage heated confrontation on tarmac in Detroit

Tlaib, the only Palestinian-American in Congress, has called on the U.S. to recall funding for Israel, alleging the weapons provided are used to "kill children and families."

"Enough, President Biden," Tlaib said in a Monday interview with MSNBC. "You will not do this on our watch. You have to speak out against this violence in a very aggressive way that holds Netanyahu and his leadership accountable."
The august Congresswoman continues to blame Israel while giving Hamas a pass. Good thing I didn't hold my breath waiting for her to condemn Hamas.

Would Hamas honor a ceasefire? Maybe long enough to smuggle in more rockets and other weapons from Iran to indiscriminately kill soldiers and civilians. Well I say "Enough, Congresswoman Tlaib, you will not do this on our watch. You have to speak out against this violence in a very aggressive way that holds Hamas and its leadership accountable."

Israel accuses Chinese state TV of 'blatant antisemitism'
In a tweet, the embassy said “we have hoped that the times of the ‘Jew’s controlling the world’ conspiracy theories were over, unfortunately antisemitism has shown its ugly face again.”
...
China has long been a strong backer of the Palestinian cause and in recent days the Foreign Ministry has castigated the U.S. for blocking a statement in the United Nations Security Council condemning the violence.
How can China condemn Israel after what they've been doing the Uighurs?

I believe its one of those things that they just don't care what people outside of their inner circle think.

IMO there is truth to that.

A big question is - would the lives, freedoms and opportunities of the Palestinian people improve if they capitulated?

Well, I don't see how their lives are improved by continuing a pseudo-war with Israel. It's clear the rest of the Middle East doesn't care enough about the Palestinian cause to really address it either.

Trump had his issues, but again, one thing he got right was his handling of the Middle East, and unfortunately the Democratic party reflex to do anything and everything the opposite of Trump has its part to blame here. Biden restoring the hundreds of millions in support for Palestine, that never end up where we intend them, along with just the change in tone and tenor, just like with the border crisis, have signaled that we're open to anything changing based on the circumstances. When you're fluid with your position obviously people on both sides will look to change the circumstances to fit their agenda.
